Every year before the onset of one of the main Christian holidays - Easter, many believing parents think about how to tell their little children about it. Will they not be afraid if they start talking about the torment and death of the Savior, even if it ended with his miraculous resurrection? You can consult a priest. But best of all, making allowances for the age of the children, tell a simple instructive story, with special emphasis on the victory of good over evil.

Step 1
What is the best place to start? Perhaps, from the fact that besides good people there are also evil ones who commit acts worthy of blame. And once the Creator sent his Son into our world in order for him to enlighten people, teach them all to be kind, to keep the commandments, to love their neighbors as themselves. For this great purpose, the Son of God endured torture and even death on the cross. But after that he was resurrected, thereby showing that there is life after death. And his miraculous resurrection has been celebrated ever since.
Step 2
Briefly tell the children about Holy Week, focusing on the Bright Resurrection of Christ. Also tell us where the custom of painting eggs before Easter came from, and what they symbolize. For example, like this: “The Roman emperor Tiberius did not believe the legends about the resurrection of Christ. He once exclaimed: "Rather, a chicken egg would suddenly turn red than a dead and buried person would come to life!" As if hearing him, Mary Magdalene brought an egg to the emperor, saying: "Christ is risen!", And this egg turned red. " Explain to the kids that since then the colored egg has been considered one of the symbols of eternal life.
Step 3
Invite them to paint the eggs with you before Easter. Usually children are very eager to take part in this business. Each family dyes differently: somewhere they prefer to use a decoction of onion peel in the old fashioned way, somewhere they use other dyes. Very often they arrange a kind of competition, hitting eggs with blunt ends. The winner is the one whose egg survived.
Step 4
You can buy a children's Bible with colorful illustrations and read it out loud. Try to keep your story relatively short and instructive. A small child is more emotional and impressionable than an adult, so try to tell about the crucifixion of the Savior quickly and without details.
