Children, especially boys, often play a game codenamed war. They run with toy machine guns, shoot, go on reconnaissance. Later they play "virtual war". But war is not a game, it is death, blood, suffering. And in order to at least slightly reduce the likelihood of future wars, it is necessary to convey to children what war really is.

Do an experiment. First, ask your child what the word "war" means to him. Very young children will probably talk about the game, older children will call the events in Chechnya and Ossetia or the Great Patriotic War a war.

Keep in mind that talking with children about the war should be, first of all, honest. Sincere words passed through the very heart have a much greater impact. After all, a child trusts his parents and adults close to him.

Tell us that war, alas, is an inevitable phenomenon in the human community. They fought, are at war and will fight for completely different reasons. In today's world, it is usually political and economic. Some attack and are invaders, others defend their loved ones, their land, country. Explain that everyone suffers in war.

On the naturally arising question of who attacks and why, it is better to explain that all people are different, there is no such thing as in fairy tales, only positive or only negative. There are always people who want more power, more wealth. And, therefore, there will always be those who attack and those who defend themselves. And both sides need weapons. You can tell about the history of the appearance of different types of weapons.

Tell about the war through stories about the fate of wartime children. Children are always interested in the life of their peers at all times. Read poems with children, watch films suitable for children's perception.
Step 6
Read with your child Sasha Cherny's fairy tale "The War of the Bells", in which the writer not only talks about how sometimes a trivial incident starts a war and expresses his point of view, but more importantly, shows how you can get out of a state of conflict.
Step 7
But the main thing is that you must convey to the child the idea that peace is better than war. Everything that surrounds us, human life, all the beauty of nature should not be destroyed by explosions and automatic bursts.
