It is never too early to think about rest, especially since tickets to most rest houses and health resorts, as a rule, at the cost of rest can lead to very unpleasant reflections. However, the opportunity to get a ticket for free did not remain in the Soviet past, it exists and is quite real today.
Citizens who have the right to receive a set of social services can apply to the Social Insurance Fund at their place of residence to receive preferential or free vouchers. Free spa treatment is provided to ten categories of citizens:
- War invalids
- Participants of the Great Patriotic War
- War veterans
- Servicemen who served in the Armed Forces during the Great Patriotic War (June 22, 1941 - September 3, 1945) in units that did not take direct part in hostilities, as well as awarded orders and medals for service during this period
- Persons awarded the sign "Inhabitant of the besieged Leningrad"

Persons employed during the Great Patriotic War in the construction of defensive structures, naval bases, airfields, air defense facilities located within the rear borders of fronts, operational zones of fronts, on sections of railways and highways adjacent to the front, as well as members of transport crews ships interned in foreign ports at the start of the war
- Family members of the dead and deceased invalids and participants of the Great Patriotic War, war veterans, family members of persons who were part of self-defense groups of local air defense teams and those killed in the Great Patriotic War, family members of the deceased workers of hospitals and hospitals in Leningrad.
- Disabled persons of I, II and III groups with limited working capacity
- Disabled children
- Persons exposed to radiation during the liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and nuclear tests at the test site in Semipalatinsk.
To get a ticket you need:
- Get a certificate from the polyclinic at the place of residence, confirming the need for spa treatment
- Write an application for the provision of free spa treatment and get on the line at the Social Insurance Fund of the region.
The frequency of issuing free vouchers is not regulated by law, you can rest and receive treatment at least twice a year.
