Easter is a religious holiday symbolizing rebirth, the end of winter. It is always celebrated in the spring on the day of Christ's resurrection, and it concludes the longest Great Lent, which lasts almost seven weeks. Easter traditions in Russia have always been a mixture of pagan and Christian beliefs, which can be observed even today.
