Easter is the main Christian holiday that symbolizes the resurrection of Christ and in translation from Greek means "deliverance". This event is celebrated on different dates, but always on Sunday.

Instructions

Step 1

Stick to a fast that begins 40 days before Easter. Don't smoke or drink alcohol on these days. Avoid animal products (meat, fish, eggs and milk), white bread, rolls, candy, and mayonnaise.

Step 2

Eat plant foods (vegetables, fruits and dried fruits), various pickles (sauerkraut, pickled and pickled cucumbers), dryers, crackers, mushrooms, black bread, nuts, cereals in the water, drink tea and jelly. On Palm Sunday and on the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, it is allowed to eat some fish. Elderly, sick, pregnant women and children should not fast.

Step 3

The last week before Easter is called Passion and has the strictest dietary restrictions and many traditions. Don't sing or dance these days.

Step 4

Prepare your home for Easter on Monday: paint, wash and clean everything you need. Prepare your clothes and wash your laundry on Tuesday. Finish all chores on Wednesday. Finish cleaning and take out all the trash. Prepare eggs for dyeing.

Step 5

The main rituals, actions and signs refer to Maundy Thursday. Wash your body before dawn, ridding yourself of all ailments and protecting yourself from troubles. Bake cakes. Make a passionate candle that will protect your home from fire and its inhabitants from disease. This fire should burn until Easter. Take a lit candle to the service and try not to let the fire go out on the way to the church and on the way back to the house.

Step 6

On Friday, do not eat, sing, listen to music, sew, do not wash. All this is considered a very great sin. This is the saddest day of the week, because it was on Friday that Christ died.

Step 7

Prepare everything for your Easter meal on Saturday: paint your eggs and make other traditional dishes to share with your family.

Step 8

Easter itself begins at midnight between Holy Saturday and Bright Sunday. Go to a solemn church service and bless food. Then greet all the words "Christ is risen." In response, they will say to you: "He is truly risen."
