In Russian politics, young people are considered those whose age ranges from 30 to 35 years. Such as Vasily Vlasov, a representative of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, in the State Duma are few. We can safely call it "unique", but is it so unambiguous? Who is he and where is he from? How did Vlasov become a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation at the age of 21?
In 2016, Vasily Vlasov became a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the LDPR party. Many experts were critical of such a young politician, but he himself is full of optimism, confident in his abilities and that he can be useful to his voters. Vasily regularly puts forward initiatives, many of which may well be implemented.
Biography of the youngest Russian politician
State Duma deputy Vasily Maksimovich Vlasov is a native Muscovite. He was born at the end of June 1995. Nothing is known about his parents. The young man received his secondary education at the Moscow school number 1350, where they study mathematics and physics in depth. In 2012, he entered the social and humanitarian institute, functioning on the basis of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (Moscow State Pedagogical University), at the same time studied at the Institute of World Civilizations, which is supervised by his mentor for development in politics Zhirinovsky V. V.
Already at the stage of obtaining higher education, Vasily Vlasov began work on his career. More precisely, he was engaged in it from the age of 16, and according to some sources - from 13. Politics has always been interesting to the young man, he closely followed the activities of the Liberal Democratic Party and the work of his idol, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Vasily Vlasov became a member of the LDPR youth faction at the age of 16.
Liberal Democratic Party
It is no secret that V. Zhirinovsky actively supports young politicians and young people in general. His party, one of the few, has a whole faction of budding politicians and activists. In one of these, Vlasov Vasily began his career. Almost immediately after joining the party, he showed himself as an initiative member of the association, for which he was entrusted with the leadership of an entire branch in the capital.
The activity in this post helped the future deputy to thoroughly prepare for the further development of his career, to complete his education. In his professional piggy bank there are positions such as
- head of the secretariat of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party,
- assistant to deputies Sikorsky and Zhurko,
- head of the youth block of the Liberal Democratic Party in Moscow,
- head of the All-Russian youth association of the party.
In the elections to the State Duma of the VII convocation, he was nominated from the LDPR in the Leningrad electoral district of Moscow, and also entered the list of candidates from the party. Vlasov entered the State Duma precisely on the list from the Liberal Democratic Party. At his polling station, following the results of voting, Vasily gained 12% of the vote and took third place among his opponents.
Deputy initiatives
The youngest deputy of the State Duma, almost immediately after receiving the mandate, was included in the Council for Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism. Three years later, he took over as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Land Relations, Property and Natural Resources.
Of the initiatives put forward for discussion in the State Duma by Deputy Vasily Vlasov, it is worth noting the following proposals:
- allow those who are 16 years of age or older to take part in elections,
- reduce the working week for citizens who do not smoke or have quit this bad habit,
- oblige to open rooms of matter and child in shopping centers of a certain area (more than 10,000 sq. m),
- replace cars of foreign-made officials with domestic models,
- create a federal agency to support entrepreneurship, provide IP advertising support on TV,
- develop and support the movement of video bloggers, create a single center for them in Moscow.
In addition, Vasily Maksimovich proposed to shorten the academic week in schools (cancel classes on Saturday), increase the period of study in secondary schools by one year (12 years), and extend summer vacations by 30 days. These initiatives of the deputy were not supported by colleagues, they were rejected immediately.
In 2018, Vlasov proposed creating a single platform for debate, where everyone who nominates themselves in the elections to the State Duma could voice their programs and discuss. But this proposal was also ignored. His recommendations to amend Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to hatred and enmity, humiliation of human dignity) were also rejected.
Opinions and forecasts
From the moment Vasily Vlasov entered the parliamentary powers, disputes periodically arise around him, experts often express completely opposite opinions about him. Someone predicts a great future for him in politics, and someone considers him a "dummy". But the facts show the opposite - most of the initiatives of the youngest Russian politician are not devoid of common sense, they are aimed at improving the quality of life of voters and developing young people.
Vasily Maksimovich himself believes that it is precisely young people who need to actively participate in the political life of the country, not be afraid to express their opinion, to nominate themselves in elections. A striking example of the fact that you can achieve success in this area already in your early 20s is himself.
Now Vlasov is busy only with his career, work. Very little is known about his personal life, until only that he is not married, is not in a relationship. And this is not surprising, judging by the level of his productivity, the number of initiatives put forward by him, activity and dedication.
