Russian singer Valery Vlasov calls autumn his favorite season. From childhood, the source of inspiration for him was the colorful bright leaves waltzing with the cool wind in a slightly sad dance.
Valery Fedorovich was interested in music from early childhood. She sounded constantly in the house. He especially liked folk songs. However, he did not manage to find his direction at once. The first experience of communicating with a musical instrument left negative impressions.
The beginning of the way
The biography of the future celebrity began on November 16 in the Kurgan region. The child was born in 1961 in the family of a truck driver in a small town.
From childhood, the boy was distinguished by independence. Fascinated by music, Valery enrolled in a brass band. He was attracted by the variety of musical instruments. However, it was not easy to cope with the huge "pipe" entrusted to him.
Mom dreamed that her son would learn to play the button accordion. Therefore, I decided to make sure of the child's success. Seeing unsuccessful attempts to extract sounds from a huge pipe, the parent began decisive action.
She took her son to a music school. Classes had been going on for a couple of months, but my mother insisted on auditioning the applicant. The student was assigned to the accordion class. Mikhail Pavlovich Shulgin became the boy's teacher. During his studies, Valery learned to play the guitar on his own.
A professional career began at the age of 12. The 12-year-old accordion player played on Christmas trees, took part in concerts while relaxing at a summer camp. Having plucked up courage, the boy decided to sing to the accompaniment of his instrument.
Singing career
He prepared a concert program for the whole camp on his own. It also featured his solo performance as a singer with the song "We honestly want to tell you."
The number was received enthusiastically. The teenager realized that he would connect life with performing arts as a vocalist. But apart from music, Vlasov was fond of exact sciences. At school, he repeatedly won mathematical olympiads.
The graduate decided to receive his further education at the Polytechnic Institute of Chelyabinsk. In 1980 he became a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The young man did not stop playing music during his studies.
The talented guy was accepted into the local ensemble. According to Vlasov himself, at the audition, he realized with amazement that he did not know how to play at all. But he was convinced that he would work in VIA DKZD with gifted people. He met while working with established musicians. Their example showed that skill must be constantly honed.
Valery became the head of the student ensemble and started playing in the Variant group. With the suggestion of drummer Oleg Polovinchik, the young man began to play in restaurants. They performed not only in Chelyabinsk, but also traveled to Moscow and Sochi. The experience gained proved to be very valuable in further practice.
Song writing
In the late eighties, Valery began to collaborate with arranger Vladimir Batrakov. They recorded the songs "Father's House", "Serega Yesenin" and "Bad Weather". In 1989 Vlasov founded his own recording studio in Chelyabinsk. In it, he recorded new compositions.
Valery performed his song “Light of a Distant Star” at the Formant festival. In 1991 he made his debut on Radio Mayak and Central Television. After the premiere, the singer gained a lot of fans. In 1993, the vocalist's first solo album was released. "Purple Dream" became one of the first in the country in CD format.
In 1994, Vlasov recorded a clip for Shaganov's composition "Sing, South Wind". He firmly established himself on the central television channels, was shown in the "50x50" program and was rotated on NTV.
In 1997 Valery began working with a group of Ural accordion players. The team leader has previously worked with many Russian stars. The result of this collaboration was the Folk Music Center.
The leading domestic companies specializing in gramophone recording became interested in the new organization. With their participation, the publication of discs with folk music began. In his work, Valery emphasizes the importance of cooperation with arranger Alexander Samoilov. Among the songs recorded together, the composer and performer especially emphasizes "My Good".
Valery Vlasov is currently writing compositions himself. He is sure that without the unity of music, words and performance, the success of a song is impossible. Therefore, the singer is always sensitive to poetics. He never includes meaningless creations in his repertoire.
Time present
For many compositions, for example, "Father's House", "Bad Weather", he writes poetry himself. However, Vlasov does not classify himself as a poet. He calls the poet Vitaly Selenskikh a master, in collaboration with whom about 3 dozen songs have been created.
The composer and performer has released over 10 albums. The most successful, in his opinion, were "Chanson Retro-Archive", "Georgian Chastushki", "Seryoga Yesenin", "Cry of the Soul". The last one was recorded in 2000.
Valery actively conducts concert activities, creates music projects, collaborates with domestic record companies. The soloist's songs became successful in many countries among the Russian-speaking population. They are often heard on radio stations. The musician considers the audience's feedback to be the highest assessment of his work. It has been repeatedly confessed to him that compositions help to get out of stressful situations and gain optimism.
He was a singer and composer in his personal life. He is married. There are two children, daughter Marina and son Alexander.
