In the postwar years, Polezhaev decided to link his life with the theater and entered a studio at the Alexandrinsky Theater. Sergei graduated from the Leningrad Theater Institute. B. Zhukovsky. Creative way

A year later, his name was recognized by the whole country when Polezhaev starred in the legendary TV series "Adjutant of His Excellency." Soon he repeated his success again in a multi-part project called "Shadows disappear at noon." The roles of the military went very well to Sergei. He continued to embody these images on screens in the films "Dauria", "Black Captain" and others. He also played in the action-packed children's TV series "Kortik", playing the role of the boy's father Slavka.

The roles of Sergei Polezhaev have always been secondary, but this in no way prevented him from becoming a famous and respected actor. He starred in several dozen more films, including "Sibiriada", "Turn", "The Life of Klim Samgin" and others. In the 90s and 2000s, the already aged actor did not leave his favorite job, although proposals for filming were received less and less. He usually got quite episodic roles of military or criminals. For his significant contribution to cinema, Sergei Polezhaev was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Personal life and death

Sergei Polezhaev was married twice. The first wife was the famous Soviet actress Zinaida Sharko. She proudly bore the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and was a laureate of the Stanislavsky International Prize "For her contribution to theatrical art." It is interesting that Zinaida Sharko herself, unlike Sergei Polezhaev, was always silent about this marriage. Most likely, the reason lies in the desire of the actress to remain in the company of the most famous artists. Sergei did not manage to achieve the same success as his wife. As a result, the marriage quickly fell apart.

Subsequently, the actor married a second time, but there is no information about his wife. He lived a quiet and calm life, always trying to maintain good spirits. Sergei Polezhaev had no children. He died in 2006 at the age of 81 and was buried in the Volkovskoe Lutheran cemetery.
