Sergei Plekhanov is a master of words. Readers know him as a writer, critic, publicist, biographer, science fiction writer, author of many books and screenplays. Moreover, in any works, critics note an exciting plot, the sharpness of the syllable and the author's own view of familiar things.
Sergei Nikolaevich was an adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, he is a member of the Writers' Union of Russia.
Biography
Sergey Plekhanov was born in Sverdlovsk in 1949. In this city, he graduated from school and went into adulthood. Whoever he worked, while gaining life experience, so necessary for writing! He was the head of the village club - he organized evenings and film screenings for collective farmers; was a journalist and wrote about the news of the region; even the firefighters managed to work.
At the same time, Sergei Nikolaevich received a rather prestigious education: he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the Gorky Literary Institute.
Writing career
For the first time, his name sounded loudly in connection with the critical articles that Plekhanov published in defense of the science fiction department of the Molodaya Gvardiya publishing house. This publishing house published books by the most famous science fiction writers of the time. These books are still loved and read.
The writer himself in 1989 with the help of the "Young Guard" released the fantastic novel "The Lost Horseman". According to the plot of the book, the heroes fall into a "time funnel" and move in time, learning in detail the facts from the history of their country in different eras. The book is interesting because the main characters are representatives of different eras, and when they find themselves in other times, they learn more and understand their origins. The main idea of the novel: the Aryan Slavs were deceived by their faith and by force they were christened into Christianity.
This message is all the more paradoxical since in his review of the book of the famous Strugatsky brothers "Burdened by Evil" Plekhanov defends precisely Christianity as the only acceptable faith for the Slavs.
Another notable novel by Sergei Plekhanov is Breakfast at Calvary, which came out in 2009. He describes the events taking place in the first century AD. The main characters of the book are a Soviet dissident journalist, SS Hauptsturmführer and a student living in Russia after perestroika and privatization. The novel intertwines political, religious, ethical themes. In the end, everything ends with a "reception" by the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate, and with a very unusual denouement.
Journalism
Plekhanov made his literary contribution to journalism and biographical prose. So, in 1987, the biographical novel "Pisemsky" was published, which describes the life of a Russian classic writer. Literally after him came the biography of the disgraced writer Sergei Maksimov.
In 1991, Plekhanov published a book about Telman Gdlyan, who participated in the investigation of corruption; in 1994 - the book "Zhirinovsky - who is he?" about the permanent leader of the Liberal Democratic Party.
Plekhanov also has many works analyzing the activities of the political leaders of the East. They address not only social issues, but also issues of religion and beliefs.
