Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot was born in 1934 in the capital of France, Paris. She became the first child in the family, and later her younger sister, Mizhanu, was born. The girls' parents were deeply religious people, raised them within the framework of Catholic traditions and sent them to school under the Catholic Church. The family had nannies and governesses who helped the children gain general knowledge of the world and learn Italian.
Little Brigitte Bardot in her school years, even if she wanted to, could not be called a beauty. She had an uneven jaw bite, which outwardly was very noticeable, a squint and an allergic rash. The girl hated her appearance, was withdrawn and detached. When she realized that this could not continue, she began to wear special glasses for the treatment of amblyopia and braces on her teeth. It was impossible to recognize the future sex symbol of France in a teenage girl.
At the age of seven or eight, Brigitte began to get involved in ballet. She put all her strength into this occupation, carefully working on posture and plastic. In 1949, Bridget's mother decided to open her own fashion boutique, and took her daughter to the shows as the main model. The talent of the young Frenchwoman was noticed by the editor of Elle magazine, who invited her to the first shoot in the magazine. The girl's mother resisted for a long time, but in the end she agreed with one condition. The magazine will not include the name of Brigitte Bardot, but only the initials - "BB". A year later, a second proposal was received from the same magazine and another photo session took place. The new issue of the magazine was noticed by the director of the film "Le Trou Normand" and invited the young model to audition. At the age of forty, she herself left the cinema, as she believed that her career had outlived its usefulness. She wanted to leave with dignity until the film industry kicked her out on its own.
Personal life
The actress was especially famous for the film “And God Created Woman”, directed by Roger Vadim. Many historians consider this particular film a harbinger of the sexual revolution, because the girl in it behaved quite openly and danced naked on the table. The fifteen-year-old girl began an affair with the director, which could lead to tragic events. Parents forbade her to meet with Vadim and act in films, and, among other things, threatened to send her from France to England to study. Due to the severity of her parents, Brigitte tried to commit suicide by gas poisoning, but her parents found the girl in time and called for medical help. It was decided that the girl could be married only after three years, when she was eighteen years old. The trip to England was canceled.
Having married Vadim at the age of eighteen, the Frenchwoman began to cheat on her husband with a filming colleague, which is why the marriage fell apart three years later. The actress tried to commit suicide for the second time by drinking a bottle of sleeping pills, but she was saved again.
In 1959, Bardot married French actor and producer Jacques Charrier, from whom she gave birth to her only son. The marriage also lasted three years. After the divorce, the son remained with his father, and Brigitte practically did not communicate with him. Four years later, she married a third time - to the German photographer and billionaire Gunther Sachs. But this couple broke up after three years. The fourth husband of the actress was the politician Bernard d'Ormal, with whom the marriage has been going on for twenty-five years. Bardo has no children from this marriage.
