He feels a person very subtly, delving into every “pain point” of a person. People say that looking at Leonid, for some reason they want to look just like him.
From biography
Leonid Zaitsev's childhood dreams of a profession went through several steps: first a physical education teacher, then a boxer, and finally a fitness instructor.
Together with his father, he ran for a while, in the winter they loved skiing, in the summer - various games. The father was a master of sports in boxing, and the son wanted to follow in his footsteps. At school, he dreamed of being like the physical education teacher V. Ya. Degtyareva. But after a year of work, Leonid realized that teaching was not his path.
Constant self-improvement
In high school, it became clear that his son was not the most promising boxer, and his father, not intending to make him a champion, advised him to choose another business in life. The parent just wanted his son to be healthy and to have an interesting life. In 1986 Leonid decided to get a technical education. He wanted to work with people, and he started working as a boxing coach and realized that it was more interesting to work with adults. And there were more successes. In 1997, he replenished the educational baggage at the Russian Academy of Physical Culture. Here I switched to the health-improving direction. At the Department of Rehabilitation, he met V. N. Seluyanov - the author of the Isoton method. They began experimenting with fitness issues. So Leonid came to what he is doing now.
Wonderful educational and professional career ladder of Leonid Zaitsev:
Pilates developer and one of its successors
Back in the middle of the twentieth century, the German Joseph Pilates developed a system of exercises and, being sickly in childhood, became a physically strong young man. For many years he helped to raise the wounded during the war, and later to recover from injuries, dancers. Much of what Pilates came to intuitively was later scientifically confirmed. The contribution of this person to the world health improvement system is significant. This direction differs from other gymnastic systems in a rehabilitation orientation. Now it is one of the most relevant techniques in Europe and America.
L. Zaitsev was fortunate enough to work with the director of the Pilates Institute in London. This is the famous British trainer Michael King, a former dancer. Here is what Leonidas wrote about him in his diary:
Connoisseur and practitioner
Leonid Zaitsev trained at the London Institute. In his opinion, teaching Pilates without a specific education is stupid and rather dangerous. The trainer says:
He is able to thoroughly explain which muscles are involved in different types of walking. He is appreciated by the viewers of "Live!" You can be sure that Leonid will give a detailed answer to the question of what to do if your back hurts.
In his studio, a program with a chair, with a stick, which may be one of the best home exercise equipment, is being worked out. This is how you correct your physical activity, increase your efficiency and change your body composition. An important principle is the regulation of the load, which each participant determines for himself. First, they measure the circumference of the waist, buttocks and hips and other indicators that I would like to change.
L. Zaitsev is sure that the pelvic floor muscles, scapula fixing muscles and breathing techniques require detailed study. Leonid's explanations of how to carry out tasks, why to do so, are akin to medical explanations. Classical activities require fluid movements. The coach explains this behavior by saying that "often what we do is more important than what we do." At first, the excitement of people affects, but then it is replaced by a common desire.
In between workouts, there are conversations and walks. After class, people play and cook in the fresh air and sit late for tea. They part as friends.
From personal life
L. Zaitsev has two sons: Vitaly and Maxim. The younger Max tries to keep up with the adults and struggles to stretch.
For several years Leonid has been living in a village near Moscow and travels to Moscow to work. In the village, he rests, writes, develops new programs and takes care of his children. He likes that he can get enough sleep there in just four hours and work with great pleasure. Arriving there, he feels that bustling Moscow has remained far, far away. Seminars and classes are often held right at his home. Subsequently, a sports hall was built.
Doesn't know boredom
Leonid has a rule - to spend Saturday at home with children. His dog, Masha the Shepherd, lived for 14 years and was with his children all this time. Then he got two Alabai puppies. Even before the dogs, a cute kitten appeared in his house. In the village house, he realized that you will not get bored with them.
In Turkey
Leonid had to choose a place for a visiting seminar. The village of Cirali attracted his attention. He managed to persuade the children. This is a unique quiet place between sea and mountains, wonderful sea. Water sports are prohibited here as this is a nature reserve where turtles live and breed. The youngest son quickly got to know the children of yogis and service personnel and spent whole days with new friends.
Constantly developing intellectually and professionally, the coach builds the specifics of his work confidently and self-sufficient. Leonid is a sociable, perky, kind and friendly person. Such character traits help him interact with people and establish the process of their recovery.
