Evgeny Tashkov received the title of People's Artist of Russia in 1995. But the actor and director won the love of the audience much earlier, as well as national recognition. The films shot by Tashkov entered the "golden fund" of the national cinema. Thanks to cooperation with Yevgeny Ivanovich, many novice actors gained popularity.

From the biography of Evgeny Ivanovich Tashkov

The future actor, screenwriter and film director was born on December 18, 1926 in the village of Bykovo (now the Volgograd region). However, for some unknown reason, a different date was entered on the birth certificate - January 1, 1927. It is believed that this mistake was the reason that Eugene was not taken to the front.

The childhood years of the future actor cannot be called rosy. Life in the village was hard. Tashkov's childhood fell on lean years. In addition, Yevgeny's father was repressed.

Already in childhood, Eugene became interested in theater. He took part in the performances of the school drama club more than once. After much deliberation, Tashkov decided to learn to be an actor.

Career and work of Evgeny Tashkov

In 1950, Tashkov graduated from VGIK, acting department. After that, he starred in several films, and also tried himself as an assistant director and as a director. Tashkov's acting filmography has only a dozen pictures.

The first significant independent directorial work of Evgeny Ivanovich was the film "Come tomorrow …", released in 1963. The talentedly shot picture soon became a real hit in Soviet cinema. The plot uses material from the true biography of the young actress, with whom the director studied on the same course.

The film Major Whirlwind and Adjutant of His Excellency brought the director no less popularity. In the last of these films, the director himself also starred: he played the role of the famous Chekist Latsis.

In 1983, Tashkov became the chief director of the Moscow Theater-Studio of Film Actor. He held this post until 1992.

After the collapse of the Land of the Soviets, the director did not stop working. For example, in 2011 his film “Three Women of Dostoevsky” was released. Tashkov himself wrote the script for this picture.

At all times, Evgeny Ivanovich remained an active and principled person. He believed that cinema should not only entertain, but also educate the viewer, make it cleaner and better. The director adhered to these principles in the work on his wonderful and deep-content films.

Personal life of Evgeny Tashkov

The first wife of the director was the actress Ekaterina Savinova. It was for her that the script of the film "Come tomorrow …" was created: Tashkov's wife played the role of Frosya Burlakova here. In the first marriage, Evgeny and Catherine had a son, Andrei, who later became an actor.

Tashkov's second wife, Tatyana, was also an actress at the time of their first meeting. Evgeny Ivanovich met her on the set of the movie "French Lessons". In this marriage, the couple had a son, Alexei.

Evgeny Tashkov passed away on February 15, 2012 in the capital of Russia. The cause of death was a stroke.
