Gopniks are Russian jargon that characterizes representatives of the urban youth stratum, who differ in behavior close to criminal. The terms "gopniks", "gopota", "gopari", "gopye" are widespread in Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union. They, of course, cannot be called subtle psychologists, but these people know how to grasp the fine line in the "processing" of their victim, without crossing the border of what is permissible.

The technique of behavior of gopniks is almost always the same. First, they begin to "run into" the chosen victim with the help of conversations (they start a "specific bazaar"). This allows gopniks to "probe" a person, to cause fear and confusion in him. It is curious that gopniks “probe” a future victim without a direct threat of violence, achieving an effect when from the outside it will seem that they are ordinary people who communicate with another person, but their opponent is somewhat unbalanced, aggressive and nervous.

Gopniks only need to rise above their victim by humiliating, insulting, beating, extorting valuables. As a result of such a "run over", the victim, as a rule, independently gives away valuable things (money, mobile phone, watches, earrings, bracelets). It is worth noting that some gopniks may not take valuable things, since the main thing for them is to feel their own superiority over the humiliated victim, making her afraid. It often happens that the communication of gopniks with their victims is on the verge of "jokes", as well as conversations "by concepts." All this allows the gopniks to justify themselves in potential further showdowns - the victim gave them everything herself.

The vast majority of representatives of the "gop culture" can be characterized by their inherent common traits and features in behavior. For example, gopniks will never call themselves gopniks, they call themselves "real boys", "boys", "clear guys", etc. These people spend the lion's share of their time on the streets, in the entrances of residential buildings, in parks and squares, at public transport stops, in garages, in dark courtyards, etc. Gopniks are characterized by an aggressive manner of communication and behavior: they look at passers-by point-blank, communicate familiarly, can provoke open conflicts, etc. By the way, seeds and beer are indispensable "attributes" of all gopniks. If a gopnik goes without his "attributes", then he simply has not yet come across someone from whom you can take money for beer and sunflower seeds.
