International driving license will not be superfluous if you are going abroad with your own car or rent a car on the spot. Although car rental companies, and sometimes police officers, often have no claims to Russian rights. However, there can be problems, so it is better to be on the safe side in advance.
It is necessary
- - passport;
- - document on registration at the place of stay (if any);
- - photos;
- - medical certificate (as when passing on a license);
- - money to pay the state duty.
Instructions
Step 1
You must come with a set of documents to the traffic police department dealing with the issuance of international rights. This is your passport, driver's license, photographs of the "license" format and a medical certificate.
If you are not registered in Moscow, but have registration in the capital at the place of stay, then you will be given a license, but you will also need to present a registration document.
Step 2
The certificate is the same as the one that you completed for the license exam and is obtained in the same way. Just do not forget to ask to indicate there all the categories in which you are allowed to drive vehicles. After all, they should be reflected in international rights, and in the absence of them in the certificate, they will not be able to do this.
Step 3
You can pay the state duty directly on the spot through the terminal. Or do it in advance at any branch of Sberbank. The requisites and size will be prompted by consultants in the department or in any subdivision of the traffic police of the Moscow police department.
Step 4
Choose the most convenient traffic police department that issues international license. For example, in 2008 they could be obtained at three addresses: on the street. Bolshaya Ordynka, 8, tel. 923-28-63, served residents of all districts of Moscow, on the street. Lobnenskaya, 20, tel. 485-59-73 - East, North, North-East, North-West and Central districts and Zelenograd, and on Varshavskoe highway, 170, tel. 382-94-42 - Western, Southern, South-Eastern and South-Western districts.
Usually, international law is ready on the day of application.
