The revival of those melodies that sounded hundreds of years ago is not easy, but exciting. Olga Glazova chose an old Russian gusli instrument for herself. She revives forgotten motives and composes her own compositions.
Starting conditions
Experts in the field of education and creativity note that it is very important to notice a person's natural abilities at an early age. Children often demonstrate their talents, their predisposition to a certain type of activity for no apparent reason. Olga Gennadievna Glazova, as a little girl, amazed relatives and friends with her thin voice and musical memory. At an older age, she acted outside the box, choosing a harp as her main instrument. And this choice turned out to be surprisingly correct.
The future singer was born on November 26, 1993 in an ordinary city family. Parents at that time lived in the famous city of Pskov. The child grew and developed surrounded by love and care. Olga loved to sing songs that sounded on TV. When the time came, she was enrolled in two schools at once - general education and music. In music lessons, the girl mastered the technique of playing the piano. As part of the general academic program, the student was introduced to the peculiarities of playing the domra, guitar and harp.
Creative activity
Glazova considers her participation in the first international competition for young performers on multi-stringed folk instruments to be the beginning of her career. This event took place in 2001, when the young performer turned eight years old. After graduating from school, Olga decided to continue her musical education at the Pskov Regional College of Arts. The gusli consciously chose the specialization. After completing a course of study, Glazova with honors went to St. Petersburg and entered the State Conservatory. Already in her student years, she began to perform, performing folk melodies on the psaltery.
Glazova's creative career developed in different ways. She played on the streets and in various clubs in St. Petersburg. She went on tour to Finland, Latvia, Czech Republic. After a while, Olga created a harp of her own design. The result is an instrument with 30 strings. The famous master Alexander Teplov undertook to make it. There are no analogues of such a product in the world yet. Glazova formulated her mission as follows: play the harp, compose her own music and perform with it. In addition to this, educate people, talk about modern harp, debunk myths and fight illiteracy about the culture and level of this instrument.
Recognition and privacy
Olga conducts each of her performances as an original performance that does not know repetition. By playing her truly magical gusli, she seems to take the listeners by the hand and lead them into her magical world.
Little is known about Glazova's personal life. She is in a relationship with musician Denis Rozov. Whether they will become husband and wife is anyone's guess.
