In the 1990s, the Otpetye Scammers group literally burst onto the Russian music scene. Its leader, the "face" of the group, is Sergei Amoralov, who in childhood did not even dream of a musical career.

Sergey Surovenko was born, who later took a different surname for himself - Amoralov, in the city of Leningrad, USSR. Date of birth: January 11, 1979. The parents, besides Seryozha himself, had another child - a girl. The father of the family worked as a mechanic at one of the city factories, and the mother was a housewife, was engaged in raising her daughter and son. Despite the fact that Sergey grew up in a completely non-creative environment, he still chose for himself a career as a singer and songwriter.

Some facts from the biography of Sergei Amoralov

Seryozha grew up as a curious and active boy. He was fascinated by many things. In his youth, he showed his creative nature through drawing. However, Sergey never seriously studied painting, and the teachers at school did not believe that the boy, in principle, had a natural talent for this type of art.

During his school years, Sergei was engaged in gymnastics, and at a fairly professional level, despite the fact that the boy did not have a dream of becoming a professional athlete. However, at one point he was seriously injured, which is why he had to give up the sport.

While studying at an ordinary high school in the city of Leningrad, Sergei seriously dreamed of becoming a pilot. In high school, he plunged headlong into the study of history, which is why he began to dream of becoming a historian.

When the school certificate was in hand, Sergei Amoralov entered the Institute of Architecture and Construction. It should be noted that his parents did not approve or appreciate this choice of their son. However, Seryozha did not succeed in completing his studies in this place. At some point, he dropped out of the institute. After that, Amoralov made an attempt to enter the Institute of Culture, at that time he was already carried away at a serious level with music and vocals, but the young man did not succeed in qualifying for the pop department. Therefore, in the end, Sergei gave up trying to enter a higher educational institution.

Despite the fact that in childhood and adolescence, Sergei never studied in a music / vocal studio, music occupied a considerable part of his life. The first - then still humorous and frivolous - steps in the musical field Amoralov began to take in the company of his childhood friend, Igor (Garik) Bogomazov. The guys lived in the same house, were close friends, therefore, they often organized amateur concerts in the courtyard as entertainment, singing popular songs in an unprofessional manner.

Serious changes in the life of both Garik and Seryozha occurred when they met a man named Vyacheslav Zinurov. It happened at the Backdraft festival. Glory in the lives of friends appeared extremely in time: at that time Garik had already expressed the idea of assembling a musical group, and Sergey willingly supported this initiative. As a result, having made friends, the three young people were eager to get on the music scene. Vyacheslav took on the role of a composer, composing rather simple but “catchy” melodies. Garik and Seryozha wrote simple and easy-to-remember texts.

Musical career

Sergei Amoralov quickly became the "face" and leader of the "Inveterate Swindlers" group. The official date of the formation of the musical group is December 8, 1996. On that day, three children first appeared on the stage of the city of Cherepovets as part of the Dancing City festival. Prior to this debut, for a whole year, Seryozha, Slava and Garik worked on the musical sound, wrote lyrics and music, rehearsed and looked for the most suitable - sonorous - name for their boy band.

Some time after the first performance, the track "Quit Smoking" hit radio stations and became a hit. However, a serious wave of success to the group was brought by the song "Anything Different", it happened after the recording of the first disc of "Inveterate Swindlers". The song began to be played on the radio, the video clip got into the rotation on television, and the leader of the group, Sergei, literally felt himself famous throughout the country.

"Dumb scammers" during the 1990s and early 2000s were at their peak of popularity. They went on a musical tour not only in Russia, but also visited foreign countries, where they knew about them, where they were very warmly received. The concerts were sold out, Sergei Amoralov, along with his fellow colleagues, regularly appeared on the stages of various music awards. The group has repeatedly received the Golden Gramophone.

Not limited to work only in a group, in 2005 Sergey began to collaborate with a DJ named Andrey Repnikov. Together they created the Bootlegs collective.

Officially, the "Inveterate swindlers" headed by Sergei Amoralov did not stop their creative activities. So, for example, in 2012, the team released another single, which, however, was not overly successful. The wave of popularity has long subsided, but neither Sergei himself nor the other members of the group are going to renounce music at all.

Family, relationships, personal life

In the period from 2000 to 2003, Sergei Amoralov was in a romantic relationship with the singer Daria Ermolaeva, who worked in VIA "Cream".

Sergei's next romance, which began with a model named Maria Edelweiss, led not to a break, but to a wedding. They became husband and wife in 2008.
