From biography

Ruslan's parents were deported to Kazakhstan in 1944. Returning to his homeland, he died at the age of 37. Sister Rosa and Ruslana were raised by their mother, who had worked for many years in the carriage depot.
As a schoolboy, he collaborated with a local newspaper, for which he wrote poetry and articles. In the 6th grade, he was registered as a correspondent for the holidays and was very proud of it. He got clean, beautiful handwriting, as he says, from his father, who had two educations and worked as the director of the Gudermes school. My father was a well-read man. The son also fell in love with books from childhood. It helped him a lot.
Ruslan attended the literary association of young people. In the 10th grade, he was chosen as the leader of this association.
In 1992 he received his philological education at the Chechen-Ingush Pedagogical Institute. During the day he worked in a newspaper, in the evenings he repaired cars. As he recalls, he passed all the "Gorky universities" of life.
Journalistic work
At the end of 1993, Chechen journalists held a congress and elected R. Yusupov as their chairman. From that moment, the process of reviving the journalistic organization began, establishing contacts with colleagues from other republics and Russia.
In 2000, the Gudermes newspaper began to be published, and he began to write about the situation in Chechnya. He has written over 200 articles on the recent war. His publications were distinguished by their relevance, truthfulness and clarity. R. Yusupov asserts that the beginning of the beginning is a person, his right to life, to freedom, to property. At the beginning of the first decade of the 21st century, R. Yusupov called the republic disgraced. There was no war or peace in it, the ruined economy was destroyed and the impoverished social sphere. Around the mourning atmosphere for the victims and everyday concern for the living. And finally, the military phase is over, work is underway on the draft Constitution of the republic, a referendum on its adoption is scheduled.

He often acts as a moderator at various discussion platforms, for example, in the work of a round table, which discusses the state of affairs in Syria. Activists of youth associations, with whom R. Yusupov spoke, got acquainted with the work of the parliament. They showed a lively enthusiasm for parliamentary work.

Poetic creativity
R. Yusupov recalls when he took up rhymes, he tried to express feelings in verse. In his youth, this did not always work out. He studied the basics of versification, sizes. Over time, it became clear that poetry is written at the call of the heart. The themes of his poetry are determined by life itself. There are poems about dramatic events, about the suffering of the people. Subsequently, he moves away from the war, begins to philosophize, because he is already over 60 years old and it is necessary to comprehend the past.
Reflecting on how poems are created, he admits that some kind of impulse comes, and he involuntarily feels it. But if you set a goal, then it is difficult to write, and there will be no “zest”. Ruslan finds time to write after work, in the early morning or late evening. He believes that a poet sees more than an ordinary person and that higher feelings are expressed in poetry. Striving for the sublime, noble - that is what drives the poet. And about this he must tell others. The poet is more impressionable, vulnerable, sensitive …
He is the poet of life. His works are attractive and melodic. They become songs. The hero of the musical project "The Voice" Sharip Umkhanov has a song to Yusupov's poems in his repertoire.
Kind civic poetry
The main idea of some poems is that whatever happens in the world, the Chechens are to blame. In the lines, the author's pain from such an understanding of events is felt. He is a real protector of his people.
R. Yusupov loves to write about good deeds, about kind words, about a kind smile that can be given to each other. Kind words are also very important in our life. What will we leave behind? According to the author, it is a particle of a kind heart. After all of us in the world, there will be a crown woven out of kindness.
Poetic philosophy of love
In his poetic baggage there are the wisest philosophical poems about what love really is. The name itself gives the answer. No wonder the author used textual antonyms - poison and balm. By this he said everything at once.
Often in his poems there is sadness about separation. Winter. People are not together. Will they step together in the spring? Not. And they cannot meet summer dawns together. The gray-haired time has already come, but they are not together. And so the next round of seasons, because there is no place where they would always be together.
Meetings with the younger generation
R. Yusupov loves to meet with students, schoolchildren, young poets. He advises not to be afraid to express an opinion, to express what is in your soul, to write as soon as it becomes clear that you were inspired by something. He is convinced that the younger generation needs to read the classics, know the chivalrous attitude towards women and show it. Feel the beauty of a worthy deed, a beautiful word and try to do so.
