All individuals have equal rights to move goods across the border of the Russian Federation. Goods imported by individuals are subject to clearance and customs control. According to the norms of Russian legislation, a simplified preferential procedure applies to individuals wishing to import goods into the territory of the Russian Federation for personal use. That is, they are completely exempted from paying taxes and customs duties without the obligatory confirmation of the conformity of goods.
Instructions
Step 1
Go through the customs clearance procedure if you are transporting goods in an accompanying baggage. To do this, contact the checkpoint across the border at airports, automobile checkpoints, seaports, on vehicles, namely in wagons, buses, cars, on sea, river, aircraft, warehouses, etc., marked with signs with inscriptions "Customs".
Step 2
Forwarded goods, as well as goods imported by individuals in unaccompanied baggage, are cleared at the customs authority at the place of registration or residence of the individual importing.
Step 3
Be sure to declare the imported goods by filling out the passenger customs declaration form. Confirm the purchase and value of the declared goods using receipts. If the goods are delivered in unaccompanied baggage, indicate this in the passenger customs declaration TD-6, issued at the checkpoint when crossing the border.
Fill in two copies, as one copy should remain and be kept in the files of the customs authority, the other will be handed over to you.
