Certification is the control of quality requirements, their assessment, as a result of which a certificate is issued. According to regulatory documents in the Russian Federation, there are several different types of certificates. First of all, it is a certificate of conformity of the quality of the service provided or the products sold.
A certificate of conformity is a document issued taking into account the rules established by the certification system of the state standard of Russia to confirm full compliance with the requirements of products undergoing certification. It can be either mandatory or voluntary. The object of compulsory certification can only be products put into circulation on the territory of the Russian Federation. There are many types of different certificates: quantity and quality, conformity, radiological control, hygiene certificates. They are needed in order to improve the quality of products of domestic enterprises, to "raise" it to the level of requirements imposed by the importing countries. This increases the competitiveness and safety of goods in foreign markets, which is of great importance for the development of exports. This activity is carried out by the State Standard of the Russian Federation, territorial centers for standardization, certification and metrology, their testing laboratories, as well as management bodies that provide services within their competence (for example, for certain types of products - the State Bread Inspectorate, the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate) For the purpose of certification, a foreign or domestic applicant sends his application for passing the control of a product or service to state bodies accredited in the system in a group of homogeneous products. On the application filed in the prescribed form, a decision is made within one month, then the experts conduct a test. After the tests of the certified products, a protocol is issued, which contains the research results, as well as information directly related to them (for example, recommendations). This document serves as the basis for issuing a certificate of conformity. The certificate is drawn up on a form in the prescribed form, is registered in the State Register and comes into force from the date of registration. It is only valid if you have a registration number.
