Twice a year, almost the whole world does this - it moves the hands one hour forward or backward one hour from the time taken in the time zone. This is done with the goal of saving energy and with many other economic and everyday benefits. In Russia, since 2011, time has not been shifted forward or backward, but if you live in a country where this is still effective, then, of course, you should know how to do this.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on automatic clock conversion on your computer. This can be done by double-clicking the cursor on the clock panel and putting a tick in the box "automatic changeover to summer time and back." Thus, you will save yourself from the need to transfer time at least on your computer (as well as a netbook or laptop).
Step 2
Mark two dates in the calendar - the date of daylight saving time and the time of transition back to winter time (which in most cases coincides with the actual time in your time zone). Both of these dates are different in each country, because, as you already understood, it all depends on the time zone and the location of the country relative to the hemispheres. If marking in the calendar is not your method, just put a reminder on your mobile, although most likely you will not need your reminder at all, because when all the people around move the hands of their watches, they will definitely remind you to do the same.
Step 3
Set the clock to the designated time on a specific day. If a wall clock or a wristwatch has arrows, then turn it over, and you will see a certain handle that needs to be turned in the right direction, while looking at the front of the clock. When done, close the watch if you had to disassemble the watch to translate it, or just keep using it again when it is already translated.
Step 4
Find out how to translate your digital clock in software settings. If it is too complicated for you, or the watch interface is in a language you do not understand, then read the instructions for the watch. Just find where you can toggle the numbers one at a time, making them one more or less one.
Step 5
Do not forget that you need to translate the clock in summer time, the hands need to be moved forward one hour, and in winter, they need to be translated back, returning to the original time taken in the time zone.
Step 6
Prepare mentally, setting the clock in the summer, to sleep an hour less. For many people, this is a difficult step, because it is very easy to be late for work after oversleeping. However, this can be a universal excuse all year long - if you say that you overslept because you moved the arrows, forgetting to translate them on the appointed date.
