The Christian Orthodox Church has its own view of extrasensory perception. In this regard, the attitude of Orthodoxy towards people with the appropriate abilities cannot be trusted.
The church forbids going to psychics. At the same time, Christianity does not reject the possibility of having a real and effective effect on a person from psychics. The whole question is what power gives this knowledge to the one who undertakes to delve into the secrets of the world.
Psychics can communicate with otherworldly forces. They, at times, cross the line of death, proclaiming to people the desires of dead people or events that happened once. Christianity says that communication with the other world is conditioned by interaction with the forces of darkness. True, many psychics do not accept this and do not realize it. They claim to be helping people. Often, their help in the future negatively affects a person, because turning to the dark area simply cannot have a positive effect.
Some psychics practice the advice of people visiting temples for the purpose of the sacrament. And after that they invite me to their place. Many are confused by this, although there is nothing surprising here either. In the sacrament, a person receives divine grace (positive energy). Psychics can use this energy for their own purposes. Moreover, the latter do not reject the fact that they feel the corresponding energy emanating from a person.
Many facts of visiting people by psychics ended up badly. Therefore, the Church warns people about caution in addressing them. A person becomes vulnerable to the influence of negative demonic power, because he himself manifests his will in approaching it.
The main reason for the negative attitude of the Church towards psychics is that people who come to the latter for help can harm their souls, choosing to appeal to mystical forces, and not God.
