Serebryakova Zinaida Evgenievna is a talented artist who became famous at the beginning of the last century thanks to her numerous works, she lived most of her life in France. In 2014, an exhibition of her paintings was held at the Tretyakov Gallery.
Childhood
Zinaida Evgenievna was born on November 28, 1884. The girl grew up in a large and friendly family, which surrounded her with care and affection. The family lived in St. Petersburg, and for the summer holidays they went to a country estate near Kharkov. In the Lancer family it was impossible not to paint: older family members often said that "all heirs come out of the mother's womb with a brush in hand."

Zinaida was a student for a very short time. At the age of seventeen, the girl studied for several months at an art school founded by Maria Tenisheva. “I worked furiously, drew a lot, did not pursue artistic fashion. Zinaida got a job if she put her soul into it,”said her brother Evgeny about her.
Stages of a long journey
From her student days, the young artist tried to embody in her paintings a true love for the splendor of the world around her. Her first canvases - "A Garden in Bloom" (1908) and "Peasant Girl" (1906) - loudly "talk" about this.
“My beloved husband was on a long business trip. In 1909, winter came earlier than usual, everything was covered with fluffy snow - everywhere there are high snowdrifts, leaving the house is not as easy as in the warm months. But in our house there is comfort and beauty, I took a brush, oil in my hands and began to depict my reflection in the mirror, as well as beads, two candles, four hairpins for hats. This work of art was first presented to the public early next year.
In 1911, Zinaida Serebryakova became a member of the World of Art Society.
Five years later, Benois Alexander Nikolaevich received a lucrative order from the Kazan station, he invited gifted painters to contribute to the work, and Zinaida Evgenievna also got there. The choice of a talented woman fell on the theme of the East. During this period, the artist is also working on a painting about Slavic myths, which remained unfinished.
In 1919, she found herself in a plight, Zinaida did not have the financial means to buy oil paints and the artist began to draw with charcoal, with a simple pencil.
In 1929, Zinaida Evgenievna left for Morocco. In her works, bright colors began to play again, the crimson sun began to shine, and a long-forgotten joy returned. In a hot country, Serebryakova draws Atlas, local girls in national clothes and young men with a turban on their heads.
Personal life
Zinaida Lancere met her husband in early childhood because he was her cousin. Boris and Zinaida were strongly attached to each other from childhood, and as they matured, they realized that they wanted to become happy spouses. However, the Orthodox Church refused for a wedding for a long time, since the young people were in a family relationship. And only in 1905, the priest gave his consent to hold the wedding ceremony, but in return he demanded a substantial amount of money.
The hobbies of the newly-made spouses did not coincide: Zinaida did not part with her easel and paints, and Boris Anatolyevich Seryabryakov dreamed of building railways, but despite this they had a strong relationship filled with boundless love, as well as many plans for the future. The newlyweds spent the first year of marriage in Paris, where both received a decent education.
Returning home, Zinaida Evgenievna works on portraits and delightful landscapes, and the young husband continues to study at the university and does household chores. The couple had four children: Eugene, Alexander, Tatiana, Ekaterina. The artist dedicated many paintings to her heirs, which very vividly reflect the maternal happiness and growing up of children.
