The question of how to speed up obtaining a passport usually arises on the eve of summer holidays. Practice shows that the fastest way is to issue an old-style passport (valid for 5 years) by submitting an application for its receipt at the place of residence (registration) through the "State Services" Reference and Information Portal (https://www.gosuslugi.ru). The term for obtaining a passport, subject to competent paperwork, will be 20-45 days. In this case, only 1 visit to the FMS is required.

- • for pensioners: original work book and pension certificate
- • certificate from the place of study (if you are currently studying)
- • certificate (if in the last 10 years you have studied at school)
- • diploma of education (if you have studied in the last 10 years)
- • document on change of full name. (if there has been a change in the last 10 years)
- • military ID for military service)
- • a certificate from the military registration and enlistment office (for men from 18 to 27 years old who have not served)
- • birth certificate and photos of children, if you want to enter information about children in your passport
Instructions
Step 1
Register on the portal https://www.gosuslugi.ru, enter all the necessary data, INN, SNILS, specify an active e-mail and the number of the included mobile phone, enter all the required confirmation codes. Wait for the letter with the activation code through the "Russian Post" (from 3 to 14 days, depending on the place of residence)
Step 2
While you are waiting for the letter with the code, visit a photo studio and take 4 photos for your passport (in accordance with the established requirements https://www.gosuslugi.ru/ru/card/index.php?coid_4=65&ccoid_4=72&poid_4=15 …). Be sure to write the photo to a flash card or CD, the photo must be in JPEG format, up to 300 KB in size
Step 3
Take a look at the website of the regional Office of the Federal Migration Service (FMS), copy and print the details for paying the state duty for issuing a passport that certifies the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation outside the territory of the Russian Federation (1000 rubles). Pay the state duty at any bank branch, save the receipt. Do not forget to take your civil passport with you to the bank.
Step 4
Make photocopies of the required documents according to the list. Order a certified copy of your work record book at work.
Step 5
Having received an email with an activation code, enter the required information on the portal in the "Personal Account" section https://www.gosuslugi.ru/ru/clients. Enter the "Personal Account"; select the subcategory “Obtaining a foreign passport by a citizen of the Russian Federation who has reached the age of 18” in the category “Citizenship, registration, visas” and fill in all the fields of the application form; attach a photo; save the application on your computer and send it for consideration by clicking the "submit" button. After sending the application, within 24 hours you will receive a message on the acceptance of the application for consideration by e-mail. The status of the application can be tracked through the "Personal Account"
Step 6
Having received an e-mail with an invitation to come to the FMS to obtain a foreign passport, make a test call to the FMS and specify the time of appointment. Going for a passport, once again carefully check the availability of all the necessary documents and their copies.
