The famous theater and film actor - Alexander Anatolyevich Ratnikov (until 2011 - Skotnikov) - is a native of Moscow and comes from a family far from the world of culture and art. Today he is at the peak of popularity and has dozens of theatrical and cinematic projects behind him, where he revealed his rather multifaceted talent. However, to the general public, he is better known as the main character in the sports drama "Okolofootbol".

Despite the fact that most of the heroes of Alexander Ratnikov on the screen are distinguished by a strong-willed character and a real charm with a discerning eye, his professional portfolio also contains many films, where he reincarnated into characters in completely opposite roles.

In his home theater "Snuffbox", he appeared on stage in the performances "Running", "Overstocked Barrel", "When I was Dying", "Soldiers", "A Tale of the Seven Hanged" and others. For his role in the last of these projects, he was awarded the Moskovsky Komsomolets Prize in the Best Actor Performance nomination.

Biography and career of Alexander Anatolyevich Ratnikov

On August 18, 1979, the future popular actor was born in the capital of our Motherland. Sasha's childhood years were spent in sports and school amateur performances. And in the last grades, he seriously thought about the career of a musician and even entered, after the tenth grade, as a volunteer at the Gnesenskoe School at the acting department of musical theater.

However, after graduating from a general education institution and "Gnesinka" Ratnikov changed his attitude towards his future profession and entered the Moscow Art Theater School (course of Evgeny Kamenkovich). In 2004, with the coveted diploma in his pocket, he suddenly fell into depression and began to doubt the correctness of the chosen path in life. He unsuccessfully and with minimal interest tried to find a job in some Moscow temple of Melpomene. And then he did himself a long vacation, trying to restore mental balance and clarity of consciousness.

When Alexander returned to the capital, he was almost immediately able to get a job in the troupe of Oleg Tabakov's theater. It was here that the aspiring artist turned into a real actor. Over the years of working with the master until 2013, Ratnikov appeared on the theatrical stage of Snuffbox in the productions of The Descendant (the role of Yulai), Psycho (the character of an alcoholic), and Old Quarter (the image of a photographer).

Alexander Anatolyevich's cinematic debut took place immediately after graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School in the short film "Dismissal" (2004) directed by Alexei Mizgirev. And then his filmography began to be regularly replenished with successful film works, among which I would especially like to highlight the following projects: "Flint" (2007), "Fathers and Sons" (2008), "How I Met Your Mother" (2010), "Honey Love" (2011), “Sect” (2011), “Look for Mom” (2012), “About Football” (2013), “Love Test” (2013), “Everything will be fine” (2013), “Moscow Greyhound” (2014- 2018), Girls Don't Give Up (2017), Salsa (2017), Captain's Girl (2017), Light From the Other World (2018).

Personal life of the artist

The only marriage of Alexander Ratnikov with a colleague in the creative workshop Anna Taratorkina was the reason for the birth of Nikita's son in 2010. Currently, the boy went to school with a theatrical bias, and happy parents predict a dynastic fate for him.
