Biography
Victoria Andreeva was born in Omsk in January 1942.
At one time, she received her secondary education at school, and then, obeying her vocation, went to Moscow State University to enter the Faculty of Philology. A young poetess graduated from it in 1965. She later attended New York Columbia University. Here the girl expanded her knowledge in the area of interest to her, having mastered comparative literature.
Personal life
In 1969, Victoria Alekseevna became a wife, having married Arkady Rovner, who was also a writer. The spouse introduced the chosen one to the poets and writers of that time, who promoted an unofficial trend in literature.
After 5 years, the family emigrated to America. Here the husband and wife created their own publishing house, where the works of American and Russian poets and writers were published.
In the United States, Victoria Andreeva met and made friends with many famous authors of various nationalities.
Career
Victoria began to write her first poems in the early 1960s. In 1987, a book of poetic works by Andreeva was published in the USA, which was called "The Dream of the Firm".
Two years later, The Telephone Novel was completed. This prose work has an experimental form. It contains telephone conversations of a Russian writer who emigrated to America. But using these individual phrases, you can compose a portrait of the main character, get acquainted with her tragic fate. In such difficult circumstances, this character in "Telephone Novel" shows heroism and courage.
In 1989, Victoria and her husband wrote a play called “P. Ya. Chaadaev . They publish it at their publishing house. This work opens up a possible point of view of Chaadaev. Writers immerse readers in the problems of the modern world, reflect on how Chaadaev would react to them if he were a contemporary of the Rovner couple.
Homecoming
Victoria Andreeva's creativity does not stop after the return of the poetess to Russia in 1994. Here she becomes the editor of some works in poetic and prose form. In 2001, a CD with the poems of the poetess "Dream of the firmament" was released.
The famous poetess and writer died in February 2002.
A few months after this sad event, her book "The Dream of the Solid" was republished once again. Other works of the writer were published in various foreign and domestic literary magazines. Composers wrote music to some of Andreeva's poems, and they turned into melodious songs.
