Dolls accompany a child, especially a girl, from early childhood. They contribute to the development of maternal instinct, communication skills, aesthetic taste. However, many of the dolls that today's children play have completely different functions that are not inherent in children's toys.
From the history of the doll
Children have played with dolls since ancient times. Archaeologists have found dolls during excavations of ancient Egyptian tombs and ancient settlements. In Russia, they were made from a variety of materials - rags, straw, wood and clay. Gradually, the doll industry began to actively develop in different countries of the world, beauties appeared in exquisite outfits made of porcelain. Then the porcelain was replaced by cheaper and less fragile plastic and vinyl. Articulated dolls capable of assuming various poses have become widespread.
You can treat the Soviet industry in different ways, nevertheless, you should remember what wonderful toys were produced at that time. The recognized doll capital Zagorsk (now Sergiev Posad) and Ivanovo were especially famous for them, where unusually beautiful dolls from pressed sawdust were produced.
Today shops selling goods for children are filled with monotonous Chinese products. Initially, these were faceless fashionistas Barbie, Moxie and Bratz, whose manufacturers set the task of introducing girls to the fashion world. Then there were the popular Winx fairies, whose appearance did not at all contribute to the formation of artistic taste. However, all this was not yet so scary.
Modern puppet monsters
In 2010, the American animated series "School of Monsters" was released, the central characters of which were the children of the most sinister literary characters - Count Dracula, the monster created by Dr. Frankenstein, The Phantom of the Opera, etc. Soon, an endless series of dolls began to appear in the form of "monsters" loved by young viewers. It is they who have now become perhaps the most popular children's toys.
I must say, dolls are even elegant in their own way. However, one of them has ominous fangs protruding from its mouth, and the other has seams on its face. The accessories attached to them look no less "colorful" - for example, cribs in the form of coffins. Sometimes such a toy coffin is supplemented with appropriate attributes - a spatula and even white slippers. So now children put their darlings to sleep in a coffin to the sound of a funeral march.
Psychologists and doctors have long been sounding the alarm, because such toys teach children about death as a game and can contribute to the formation of suicidal tendencies. It is sad that many parents do not understand this and buy dolls in coffins for their daughters themselves.
