Biography
The birthplace of Vasily Vasilyevich Ershov is the small town of Volchansk, which was part of the Kharkov region of the Ukrainian Union Republic of the USSR. The future writer and pilot was born in this fertile place in 1944 on September 2. Vasily's family is very enlightened - both father and mother were teachers. The guy received his secondary education at the Maxim Gorky School. The main hobbies in childhood were favorite books that Vasily read, aircraft modeling sports and participation in the musical life of the school - the boy played the clarinet and participated in the performances of the brass band of his native school. Due to his remarkable character and desire for knowledge, Vasily graduated from school as a gold medalist.
Study and work
Further education was associated with aviation. He studied at the Kharkov Aviation Institute. His student years were not in vain - Vasily Ershov attended gliding and parachuting sections, spent all his free time in the aviation club. He managed to fly on KAI-12 and BRO-11. This determined the further fate of Vasily. He decided for himself that he would not become an aeronautical engineer, but the work of a pilot was what he needed. After the second year of the institute, Vasily took the documents and entered the famous flight school in the city of Kremenchug in 1964.
The study was to my liking, and the guy received only excellent grades. He enjoyed studying course subjects. He did not forget amateur performances and took part in the performances of the school's pop ensemble.
Personal life
In his last year of study, Vasily Ershov created his own family, choosing as his wife a girl whom he had known for a long time. Nadezhda Yegorovna made up the family happiness of the future pilot and writer, she was always his faithful friend and support in all difficult life situations.
Ershov graduated from the flight school in 1967. The award for excellence was a red diploma. The young couple went to live and work in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Yenisei United Squadron became the place of service of Vasily Ershov. Life consisted of flights and infrequent meetings with family. Here, in Yeniseisk, Nadezhda Yegorovna gave birth to her husband's daughter Oksana. The pilot's wife was glorious - a hardworking and determined woman created a real home paradise for her husband, where the man rested with his soul and gained strength for work. Love and peace reigned in the family.
Career
Over time, Vasily Ershov improved his qualifications and retrained as an IL-14 pilot. Now he flew as a co-pilot on a heavy liner from the Krasnoyarsk squadron.
Vasily Ershov had 35 years of flying experience when he decided to end his pilot career and retire. In adulthood, it is not easy for an active person to have a sharp change in lifestyle. However, the pilot found himself an interesting occupation. Ershov took up writing, based on his own diaries and notes that he kept during his flights.
