He constantly wrote plays for the Perm Puppet Theater, created in one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven. The reconstruction of the building was completed in 1959. After that, the transit castle acquired its modern look and the puppet theater moved into it. The main charm of the building is a large, beautifully equipped stage with Shakespearean exits and balconies: they lead to the stage, under the stage and behind the stage. The scene can rise, fall and change in different ways. This is the merit of the People's Artist of the USSR Sergei Vladimirovich Obraztsov. It was he who helped with his advice during perestroika. The first performance based on the works of A. Zelenin was staged in this historical puppet theater. This event occurred in one thousand nine hundred and ninety-eight. But another performance, staged in two thousand and two, was noted not only by the audience, but also by critics.
From two thousand and eight, Andrei Sergeevich was the head of the Club of Young Storytellers of the Perm Regional Children's Library named after Lev Ivanovich Kuzmin, in which children learned to choose rhymes, came up with plots, broke long words into several short ones. Within the walls of the Club, works of young authors were born.
