Evgeny Ketov is a well-known Russian hockey player acting as an extreme striker. He started his career with the teams of the lower divisions, gradually making his way to the leading Russian clubs. Currently he is a player of the St. Petersburg SKA, is often called up to the Russian national team.
Evgeny Ketov is a pupil of the Perm hockey school. The future forward was born on January 17, 1986 in a small town of the Perm region called Gubakha. Since childhood, the boy showed interest in sports, especially he liked ice hockey. Classes in the sports section bore fruit. The child gradually grew, gained physical strength and experience and was able to start his career not only at an amateur, but also at a professional level.
Evgeny Ketov's club career
The first famous team in which Evgeny Ketov began his career was Avangard Omsk. True, the Russian striker played for the Omsk farm club - "Avangard - 2". Season 2002 - 2003 Yevgeny spent in the First League of national hockey. In 2004, Ketov moved to Samara, where he began to defend the colors of the local CSKA-VVS. At that time, the team played in the Higher League of Russian hockey.
In 2005, Ketov made his debut in the elite division of the Russian Championship. The forward from Samara moved to Togliatti, where he began playing in the Super League for the local Lada. In the 2005-2006 season, he played 49 matches, gaining 14 points (six goals and eight assists). Ketov spent four seasons at Lada.
The striker's debut in the Continental Hockey League took place in the 2008-2009 season. This game year was the last for Ketov in the team of Togliatti Lada. Hard work in training, game creativity and thinking contributed to Evgeny's transition to Ak Bars Kazan. However, Evgeniy failed to show all his skills in the team from the capital of Tatarstan. For thirty-three matches in the KHL of the 2009-2010 season with Ak Bars, Ketov did not score goals. We can say that the club from the capital of Tatarstan "did not fit" the extreme forward.
