Childhood and youth

Oleg Mikhailovich Gazmanov was born on July 22, 1951 in the Kaliningrad region, the city of Gusev. Oleg was not the only child in the family. He has a sister, Elena. Oleg's parents are natives of Belarus. The boy was lucky to be born in the post-war years, however, his parents were in the thick of the war. The father of the family during the war years served in the navy, while the mother was a cardiologist in the farthest corner of the country - in the Far East.

All of Oleg's childhood was spent in Kaliningrad. Since this city was one of those that kept the memory of the terrible war, most of the children of that time entertained themselves with the search for weapons or any remnants of ammunition, of which there were a lot at that time. Young Oleg was also fond of all this. The boy managed to collect a whole collection of military artifacts at home. In his arsenal there was even a German heavy machine gun, which the boy put on the windowsill and "fired" at the fictitious enemy while his parents were not at home.

Once, in the course of another such game, the machine gun fell right on Oleg's leg, and if the mother had not arrived in time, who knows what would have happened next.

It is worth saying that some of the young man's peers tragically died after careless handling of ammunition. Despite these accidents, the curiosity of the young Gazmanov knew no bounds. One day Oleg almost lost his life. While walking around the outskirts of his hometown, he came across an anti-tank mine, which attracted his attention. The guy began to disassemble the projectile right on the spot, but the father who was nearby managed to stop his son's dangerous experiments.

When Gazmanov was 5 years old, his parents sent him to a music school, where he studied violin. However, the boy had no love for music. In addition, he did not like the strict teacher, who completely discouraged the boy from learning the instrument.

Since it did not work out with a musical education, the guy went into sports. But here, too, everything was not so simple. In early childhood, doctors discovered that he had a heart defect, in the presence of which serious physical activity was strictly prohibited. But the young man did not care much about these prohibitions and secretly from his parents he ran away to practice in the gymnastics hall.

After some time, the illness, to the surprise of many, passed and the young man was admitted to the section. From a frail and nondescript boy, he turned into the strongest in his group. He could have become a famous athlete, but a serious leg injury he received in grade 9 put an end to his sports career.

Gazmanov was an average schoolchildren, interrupted from "three" to "three". After school, he became a student at the Kaliningrad Naval Engineering School (now BFARF), which he graduated in 1973. After some time, he became a graduate student at his university and took up teaching.

But work at the university attracted him less and less. Unexpectedly for himself, he realized that he was again attracted by music. Then, without a bit of doubt, Gazmanov entered the music school, from which he left with a crust on his hands in 1981.

Musician creativity

As a student at the school, the future Russian pop star played in various bands such as Galaktika and Blue Bird. He also performed in one of the restaurants in his hometown, which brought him a good income, which went to support the already emerging family.

Many of Gazmanov's entourage advised him to release his music and record albums, but for a long time he did not dare. After some deliberation, in 1986 he writes a song called "Lucy", but at the same time, his voice breaks down. Realizing that he would not be able to perform the composition himself, with all his desire, the musician rewrote the text and gave the song to his son Rodion. Subsequently, the story of the missing dog named Lucy became mega-popular throughout the USSR.

So, Oleg Mikhailovich Gazmanov became a famous musician throughout the country. Having created a team called "Squadron", in 1991 Oleg released the group's debut album. Since then, the artist began to collect full stadiums and give concerts abroad.

The artist's discography includes 24 albums, including collections of previously published popular songs.

Personal life

If we touch upon the artist's personal life, then Oleg Mikhailovich has it no less intense than his career. It should be noted right away that he is married twice. Gazmanov lived with his first wife for 22 years. He met a girl named Irina as a student at the school. During their life together, they had a son, who was given the name Rodion. The couple divorced in 1997.

A year later, the famous musician met Marina. For a long time they were just friends, but then the friendship grew into something more. And in 2003 they legalized their relationship. By the way, Marina is 29 years younger than her husband, however, the age difference does not bother both of them. Moreover, in 2003, the couple had a daughter, Marianne. In addition, from the first marriage, the wife has a son, who also began to live in the Gazmanov family.
