Alexander Burmistrov is a Russian hockey player who plays as a center forward. It was considered as one of the most promising center-forwards in recent years, as evidenced by repeated calls to the Russian national team and attention from overseas specialists.
Alexander Olegovich Burmistrov is a native of the Republic of Tatarstan. Born in Kazan on October 21, 1991. From childhood, the boy was distinguished by his love of outdoor games. From an early age he began to get involved in sports. Until the moment Alexander decided to devote his life entirely to hockey, he loved to play the ball in the yard with his peers. Despite the fact that Burmistrov did not have a football future, he still likes to watch some football matches and discuss them with friends.
The beginning of the hockey career of Alexander Burmistrov
The hockey player's sports biography began in his native Kazan. However, the striker was never able to make his way to the main team of Ak Bars. In 2009, the player decided to go to North America in order to gain experience from renowned overseas specialists. The fact that the Atlanta Thrashers NHL team drafted a promising striker in 2010 was of great help in such a difficult matter.
Burmistrov spent his first season overseas in the youth league of the province of Ontario. And already from the 2010-2011 season he was able to make his way to the main team of Atlanta. Work in training, creativity in the approach to the game itself had the best effect. Already in his first season in the NHL, Alexander Burmistrov was able to play 74 matches, in which he scored 20 points (6 +14).
The center forward started the next season at a different club. He moved to the ranks of the Canadian Winnipeg Jets club, where he played until 2013. Burmistrov's statistics in Winnipeg have improved significantly. For two seasons (the second of which turned out to be less successful), he was able to distinguish himself seventeen times.
First return from the NHL
In 2013, Burmistrov decided to return to Russia. He signed a contract with Kazan "Ak Bars", in which he spent two full seasons. Played in more than a hundred matches, scored twenty goals. Burmistrov's statistics on assists looks more productive - the center forward has assisted his partners 44 times.
Burmistrov's second attempt to gain a foothold in the NHL
In 2015, having gained experience in the KHL, Burmistrov again decided to try his hand overseas. For the next four years, Alexander performed with the most famous hockey players in the world. During his second attempt to gain a foothold in the NHL, Burmistrov played in three clubs. From 2015 to 2017, he defended the colors of the Winnipeg team, after which he played for Arizona and Vancouver.
In the Vancouver Canucks, Burmistrov began to receive less practice (played only 24 matches in the regular season), after which he returned to Russia.
In Russia, Burmistrov played the 2017-2018 season for Ak Bars and made a significant contribution to the team's victory in the Gagarin Cup.
Since the season 2018-2019 he is a player of the Ufa Salavat Yulaev.

Alexander Burmistrov began to be drafted into the ranks of the Russian national team from junior and youth teams. In 2009, at the Junior World Championships, he was able to win silver medals with the team.
