Mikhail Vladislavovich Manevich was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) on February 18, 1971 in the family of Vladislav Manevich, professor of the St. Petersburg University of Finance and Economics, and Meta Manevich, a music teacher. The intellectuals-parents had a huge influence on Mikhail. From an early age, he becomes a versatile child. Misha is studying the humanities, teaches English. Since childhood, the boy has been engaged in figure skating and music. He approached all his studies seriously and with enthusiasm.
While still at school, the future economist-political scientist began to show interest in political information programs. He paid special attention to the program "Time", which he watched every day with his parents. This passion determined his further destiny and career. In high school, Mikhail becomes the country's chief political news commentator. At the age of 13 he became the president of the school club of international friendship "Comrade".
Having received his secondary education, Mikhail passed exams at the Leningrad University of Finance and Economics. ON THE. Voznesensky, who graduated with honors and defended his Ph. D. thesis. In the late 1980s, Mikhail Manevich was engaged in research work at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of the University.

Remaining in the post of head of the research laboratory at the university, Manevich nominates himself for the State Duma elections, but does not pass in terms of the number of votes. This does not stop the future mayor of the northern capital. The economic ideas he voiced interested the government of Leningrad, and he was offered a place in the city hall. Since 1994, he has chaired the City Property Management Committee.
From that time on, Manevich began to engage in legal education, while simultaneously solving the economic problems of the city. Thanks to his activities in the northern capital, the safest system of real estate transactions was created. Manevich was spoken of not only as an outstanding economist, but also as a first-class lawyer. He became one of the famous people of St. Petersburg.
Mikhail Vladislavovich had many ideas and plans, but they were not destined to come true. On August 18, 1997, the car with Mikhail Manevich and his wife was shot. The vice-mayor of the city died before arriving at the hospital, his wife was slightly injured. The cold-blooded murder of Manevich has worried the public and politicians. Mikhail Manevich was buried at the Volkovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg. Only in early 2009, the investigation into his death was completed. Monuments were erected to Mikhail Manevich at Literatorskie Mostki of the Volkovsky cemetery. His name is still remembered and honored by residents of St. Petersburg and the whole country.
