Dmitry Brekotkin is a Russian comedian, actor and showman. For the first time, this famous artist appeared on TV screens during the games in the major league of KVN.
Biography
Dmitry Brekotkin was born in Yekaterinburg, then the city was called Sverdlovsk - in 1970, on March 28. Dmitry has been very active since childhood. From an early age he went in for sports, but because of his restlessness, he did not stay for a long time anywhere. The only sporting achievement that Brekotkin was able to achieve was the Candidate Master of Sports in Sambo.
After graduating from high school, Dmitry was drafted into the army, where he served two years in the tank forces. The period of service in the army fell on the end of the 80s, in the Soviet Union there were many military units outside the country, in socialist states. The unit in which Brekotkin served was based in Germany. Dmitry was demobilized with the rank of sergeant.
Returning to his native Sverdlovsk, Dmitry entered the institute at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This choice was made primarily due to a small competition. While studying at the university, he met his future teammates Dmitry Sokolov and Sergey Ershov, who invited him to play in KVN. The team was called "Ural dumplings". In 1999 "Uralskie dumplings" won the statuette "KiViN in the light" one of the awards at the annual festival, and a year later they won the title of champions of the major league.
Career
Due to his passion for playing in KVN, Dmitry skipped classes and did not study well, as a result, he finally dropped out of school, and he was expelled. Continuing to play in KVN, he got a job at a construction site, mastered most of the construction professions and even became a foreman. It was getting harder and harder to combine work and play, and one day I had to make the final choice. Dmitry left the construction site and plunged into creativity.
Over time, Dmitry gained popularity and began to try himself as a presenter and actor. One of the first successful screen appearances outside of KVN was the TNT humorous project Show News. In 2007 he took part in the entertainment program "Wall to Wall". But real success was brought by a joint project with partners in the KVN team. In 2009, on the STS channel, they launched their own program, The Ural Dumplings Show, where they were authors and actors at the same time. The project has become so popular that it is still ongoing.
Despite the high employment of his own show, the famous artist does not forget KVN, periodically appears there as a guest star helping young teams. He willingly participates in the anniversary games, and in 2017 Dmitry made his debut on the big screen. He played one of the main roles in the film "Lucky Accident".
Personal life
Dmitry Brekotkin is married. He met his chosen one in his student years, on a regular business trip of a construction team. Since 1995, the couple have officially registered their relationship. Together they are raising two daughters Anastasia and Elizabeth.
