Step 1
In our country, military pensioners are those who served in the structures of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the departments of the fire service, in the departments for controlling drug trafficking, as well as in the bodies of the penal system. To receive a military seniority pension, serve in any of these structures for at least 20 years. In addition, a pension is awarded in the event of a disability or the loss of a breadwinner to a soldier's widow.
Step 2
Determine for what periods you will be reading experience and prepare the necessary documents. In addition to the military service itself, periods of service in the ATS, work to eliminate the Chernobyl accident, service on nuclear submarines and surface ships, parachute jumping and some other types of service are separately taken into account. Step 3
To apply for a military pension, contact the local branch of the pension fund of the Russian Federation and write a statement. Prepare the following documents: a passport and a copy of it, a military ID, a work book (if any), all documents confirming the special conditions of service: a certificate of participation in hostilities, a liquidator of the Chernobyl accident, documents on disability, etc. If you changed your first or last name, you must also inform about this. If a soldier worked after dismissal from service and the employer made contributions to the local pension fund, he can, in addition to the military, also receive the insurance part of the state labor pension.
Step 4
Attach to the application a document on the amount of average monthly earnings for 5 years, which must be obtained from the government agencies where you served. By law, the size of the military pension must be at least 80% of the official salary. In case of disability of groups 1 and 2, servicemen who received military injuries receive a pension in the amount of 85% of the allowance.
