A family
Levon Sarkisovich was born, grew up, studied and works in Moscow. At the very beginning of the formation of Soviet power in the Transcaucasus, the Oganezov family moved from Telavi, first to Samara, where the head of the family and his brothers organized shoe production, and then to Moscow. My father was a shoemaker there too, he kept his workshop. Mom, who graduated from high school in her youth, ran a household and raised five children. Dad had no education.
In 35, his father was arrested in the infamous case of Kirov's murder. When he left, he took with him tools that were very useful to him in prison. Making shoes for the management of the institution and their families, Sarkis Artemovich not only survived himself, but also sent money to the family. Most likely, this fact became the reason for his safe return at the beginning of 1940, and on December 25, his fifth son, named Leonty, was born. Levon is the name by which he was called in the family.
Despite the purely working professions, all paternal relatives had an amazing ear for music. Never studying, they approached the piano, selected and strummed music with the correct harmony, played the guitar, and sang purely. Therefore, when the question arose of what to teach the child, the aunt firmly said: "To music."
So, at the age of 4, Levon began his musical education, first in private. Then there was a music school, a conservatory, and graduate school.
Music
Levon Oganezov refers to his profession as to work in the best sense of the word. Diligence is considered the basis of everything. He has "non-musical" hands, a short thumb, he spends 1, 5-2 hours at the piano every day to warm up.
He began to earn early, while still studying at the conservatory, by sheer coincidence replacing a sick accompanist. The Mosconcert management immediately requested a telephone number for communication. Calls were received 5 times a day, and I had to work in the evenings.
After graduation, he served in the army, and then plunged into work. Tours, relocations, concerts, participation in television programs, performances on the stage of the theater and filming in films, solo programs, creation of musical works and arrangement for certain artists and performances. All my life passed in such a frantic rhythm.
The genres of music performed by the maestro are diverse: jazz compositions, classical pieces, disco music and dance.
Levon Sarkisovich is recognizable, loved by the public and adored by artists. It happens that his accompaniment sounds much brighter than the performance of the artist. But, as the musician notes, this is not his fault.
Personal life
A talented pianist, Levon is also an extremely charming man. The oriental charm and the ability to delicately handle the female half of humanity attracted a lot of girls to him. But deep in his heart, he put everyone next to his mother, and when he realized that the comparison was not in their favor, he tactfully stepped aside.
And when she met the only one, Sophia, without a shadow of a doubt, he took to the registry office, although the parents on both sides were against it. And if Sophia's relatives quickly changed their anger to mercy, then Levon's mother accepted her daughter-in-law only after the birth of her first daughter, named Maria in her honor. But later the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law became great friends.
The Oganezovs' marriage has lasted more than 45 years, they raised two daughters - Masha and Dasha. Both daughters live in the United States. Both have a musical education, but do not work by profession.
Levon Sarkisovich Oganezov believes that learning music is like knowing a language, through it you can receive divine messages to a person.
