Bonnie Lynn Hunt is an American actress, director, screenwriter, producer, and TV presenter. Winner of the Saturn Awards, the Chicago Film Critics Association. Repeated nominee for numerous awards, including: Emmy, Golden Globe, Sputnik.

The girl was born in the United States in the fall of 1961. Her paternal ancestors were Irish and Belgians, and her maternal ancestors were Poles. Grandfather and grandmother emigrated to America from Poland in their youth.
My father worked in one of the construction companies as an electrician. And my mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising seven children.
Bonnie attended a Catholic girls' school. In high school, she began working in a nursing home where she looked after sick old people. After receiving primary education, she entered the school and became a certified nurse. Then the girl got a job at a cancer hospital in Chicago, where she worked for almost 7 years.
In the family where Hunt was raised, a sense of humor was highly valued. It is not surprising that already in her school years she began performing on stage in comedy productions. Later, already working in the hospital, the girl tried herself as a stand-up comedian and she quickly became popular. Then she decided to form her own comedy group and perform with her on stage in local clubs. The debut of An Impulsive Thing - that was the name of the collective - took place in 1984, and after 2 years Hunt was already performing as part of the troupe The Second City.
Creative way
The actress made her film debut simultaneously with the beginning of her stage performances. She has played several small roles in television projects.
Then she appeared in the famous drama "Rain Man" by Barry Levinson. The main characters were played by Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. The film won 4 Oscars, as well as awards at the Berlin Film Festival, the Karlovy Vary Festival and the Golden Globe Awards.
The actress gained wide popularity after working in projects: "Beethoven", "Jumanji", "Jerry Maguire", "The Green Mile", "Only You", "Hurricane Season".

The actress married John Murphy in 1988. The marriage lasted 18 years and ended in divorce. In this union, their only daughter was born.
