William Marston is an American psychologist, inventor of the lie detector, comic book writer, creator of the famous Wonder Woman or Wonder Woman. Based on his creation, a film of the same name was shot.

Scientist career
William Moulton Marsden was born in the United States on May 9, 1893. In 1915 he successfully completed his master's and bachelor's degrees from Harvard University. By 1921, Marston defended his dissertation on determining the veracity of statements on the reactions of the body, becoming a doctor of psychology.
He completed an internship at the Universities of Medford and Washington. After that, the specialist was sent to Universal Studios in California. The goal of Marston's work was to identify lies based on pressure readings. The idea of creating the test came from the wife of the scientist Elizabeth.
She noticed that when she is angry or worried, she understands blood pressure. The result of the work was a polygraph or a lie detector. In 1928, the psychologist published the book "The Emotions of Ordinary People". It looked at different behaviors in terms of how others perceive emotions under different conditions.
In 1931 a new work was published, continuing the previous research "Integral Psychology". On September 25, 1940, an important event occurred in the life of a psychologist that changed his entire biography.
Olivia Byrne, a graduate of Taft University, came to interview for the magazine. Among the statements, Marston noted that comics considered a great potential for education. Olivia posted the conversation under the headline "Don't laugh at the comics."
The publishers immediately drew attention to the article. Max Guines, who hired Marston as a consultant to later DC Comics, appreciated the statement. Olivia has become the muse of a scientist.
Comics and a new superhero
