Zubaira Tukhugov is a Russian mixed style fighter entering the ring at featherweight. He became known to the general public as a participant in the mass brawl that took place in the States after the fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor in September 2018.
Biography: early years
Zubaira Alikhanovich Tukhugov was born on January 15, 1991 in the village of Tsentoroi, 60 km from Grozny. At school, the future fighter studied secondary. He did not differ in good behavior, he was quick-tempered and unbalanced. To channel the son's energy into a peaceful channel, his parents enrolled him in the wrestling section. Zubair quickly became one of the best students.
Even then, he began to dream of becoming a wrestler. So, looking at all the "mixed" championships with his father, Zubayra set himself the goal of becoming a participant in the future.
When Tukhugov was 13 years old, he moved from the village to the city of Gudermes. There he began to train at the Ramzan fight club. In one of his interviews, Zubayra noted that his arrival in this club became fateful for him.
Already in adolescence, the coaches considered Tukhugov a promising fighter. His weight, height and physique subsequently allowed him to become one of the best drummers.
At the age of 16, Zubair went to conquer Moscow. There he continued to actively train, despite family problems and injuries. Tukhugov became a member of the famous capital club "Fortress".
As a teenager, Zubayra took "bronze" at the European Championship in hand-to-hand fighting among youths. At the World Championship, he has already won a silver medal. And he became the first at the Moscow SAMBO Championship.
Career
In the period from 2010 to 2013, Zubair performed in the lightweight division. At that time, he had a trick - for some fights, he began to go out to the well-known Chechen composition "Madina". Zubayra notes that it is this song that helps him to focus and tune in to the fight.
In 2011, Tuhugov missed more than half of the season. For six months he was in prison for assaulting a police officer. The fighter is ashamed of this act and tries not to comment on it in an interview.
The first fight outside Russia was against Kuat Khamitov. It took place in Kazakhstan. Then Tukhugov "neutralized" the opponent in the second round.
In February 2018, Zubair was convicted of doping. Experts concluded that the fighter was taking a banned ostarine. As a result, Tukhugov was suspended from fighting for two years, counting from September 2017. Also, the fighter must pay a fine of 5 thousand dollars.
By mid-2019, Zubayra had 22 fights, of which 18 ended with a victory. With this knockout - 6, referee decision - 11 and submission - 1. Four fights ended in defeat for him. These were fights with Renato Moikano, Murad Muchaev, Akhmed Aliyev and Anton Telepnev.

Zubair is not married. It is known that the fighter has a girlfriend. However, he does not advertise it. In social networks, Tuhugov publishes mainly photos from battles and with friends.
