Kirill Astapov is a participant in the Voice-2 show by Leonid Agutin's team. The ambitious and talented singer has become the personification of a dream come true. The vocalist and arranger made a name for himself throughout the country.
Kirill was born in Yoshkar-Ola in 1989, on May 13. The mother of the future vocalist teaches at the College of Arts and Culture in the piano class. Father is the organizer of the pop-jazz department and a saxophonist.
A winding path to a vocation
The creative biography was a foregone conclusion from the moment of birth. However, at first, the boy did not show any stage interest. He loved to play pranks with friends. Cyril really liked playing basketball. As part of the school team Medvedovo Astapov became the second in the republican competitions.
The grandmother turned the biography of her grandson abruptly. She brought the boy to a music school. Kirill managed to learn to play the piano effortlessly. He continued to play sports, participated in school performances, sang. The future singer did well and study well, and play naughty.
Before receiving a specialized education, Kirill decided to take part in the "First Stage" competition. The jury was headed by the famous singer Valentina Tolkunova. She saw and appreciated the guy's talent. The singer learned about good prospects even before entering college. After the first course, the future vocalist went to the capital.
He calls the move to Moscow the most memorable event in his life. The guy studied at the pop-jazz vocal department of the Institute of Contemporary Art, finished the third year of GITIS. Astapov wrote music for himself, plays the piano.
He worked at corporate parties, in karaoke. At one of the auditions that he attended, Astapov met Irina Dubtsova. The singer and composer invited the guy to work in her karaoke club.
Fateful contests
The young talent first came in 2011 to the Factor A project, patronized by Alla Pugacheva. Among the big names, the provincial was not at a loss. On the contrary, the vocalist from Mari El, inspired by a brilliant audience, sang all the songs so passionately that he made an unforgettable impression.
The singer was successful in casting. As a result, Kirill was among the six who formed the Sixth Sense troupe. The young team disintegrated rather quickly, and the instant lava disappeared just as instantly. The vocalist managed to get an education at GITIS, graduating from the acting department.
He got down to work, not forgetting about the dreams of the big stage. Then Kirill found himself on the "X factor". In the jury, he was amazed to see the already familiar Dubtsova. Personal acquaintance did not help in anything: Irina accepted the participant, like everyone else. But in the press gossip began about the suing.
As a result, the contestant left the show. Finally, the fans saw the idol on the "Voice". The musician's stellar path is just beginning. However, he has already managed to create a lot of excitement around himself. In 2013 Astapov decided to use a new chance. Mom offered her son to participate in the "Voice".
Having performed the composition "Kiss", the young singer was faced with a choice. Both Pelageya and Agutin turned to him. The vocalist who dreamed of working in the direction of soul and jazz made his choice. Learning to build a stellar springboard began. Rehearsals, filming, live broadcasts have started. The dream was becoming a reality. Astapov turned into a demanded musician. He himself was engaged in arrangements, wrote poetry and music.
Matters of the heart
Even before the beginning of participation in the vocal talent show, Kirill's personal life was determined. In the last year of study at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the young man met a spectacular blonde Valeria Sushina.
The romance began. The girl also studied vocals. They quickly became a couple. Together, the musicians record songs and go on tour. They are not afraid of show business stereotypes. Kirill filled out the questionnaire for himself and his friend. In the "Voice" project, both were accepted, only they got into different teams.
Initially, they were not going to hide their feelings. After the completion of the project, in August 2018, the young people became husband and wife officially. The lovers did not have to compete with each other. Fate ordered there that they left the project almost at the same time. Together, the couple created the duet "Absolutely Summer".
They released a musical composition "To Dance" for the Yalta festival "Five Stars". Under the terms of the competition, it required the presentation of a famous song in a new arrangement. The creation of Viktor Reznikov "I can't dance" was given a new life. The song started in the regions. The musicians are planning to conquer the capital as well.
The wedding took place in Yalta. The duo works with the renowned TV and commercial production company VSM Production. Even after leaving the project, the singer continued to maintain friendly relations with his teammates. He attends premieres of their songs, video releases.
The confidential communication with Agutin, who from the bottom of the heart congratulated the ward on receiving a new status. Kirill admires the talent of a professional musician, his simplicity in life and work. During one of the broadcasts, the show's host Dmitry Nagiyev jokingly compared Astapov to American President Barack Obama.
