Anna Goryacheva is a popular Russian opera singer (mezzo-soprano). The artist works in the most famous opera houses around the world and collaborates with many celebrity conductors.
Biography
Anna was born in St. Petersburg in 1983. Goryacheva began her studies as a pianist, then she entered the State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov (St. Petersburg) at the vocal faculty under the direction of Galina Kiseleva.
In 2008, Anna graduated with honors from her studies and became a soloist of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera.
In the same year, Vladimir Kekhman sent Goryacheva to Rome for a professional internship. At the Accademia Santa Cecilia, Italian educators worked daily with the singer on the subtleties of Italian style and traditional operatic performance.
Career
On the stage of the St. Petersburg Opera, Anna Goryacheva performed the roles of Olga (Eugene Onegin by P. Tchaikovsky), Polina (P. Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades) and others. In 2010, for his work on the opera Don Giovanni, V. A. Mozart, as Donna Elvira, was nominated for the Golden Mask Theater Award.
Following the results of the II Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Competition, Anna Goryacheva won the II prize and a special prize for artistry.
Until 2011, Goryacheva studied in Rome with such famous professionals as Renata Scotto, Cesare Scarton, Anna Wandy.
In 2011 she made her debut at the Flemish Opera in Antwerp. Goryacheva sang the part of Marquise Melibey (Journey to Reims). Particularly significant engagements in Goryacheva's career at the moment: the main role in the opera "Carmen" by J. Bizet, which the singer performed at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in London, as well as the title role in the opera "Cinderella" by G. Rossini (performed at the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo).
In addition, Anna has performed at the Zurich Opera, the Royal Danish Opera and the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
At the Paris National Opera, Goryacheva made her debut with the part of Ruggiero (Alcina by G. F. Handel). At the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, she sang the roles of Edoardo (Matilda di Shabran) and Isabella (Italian in Algeria).
The singer has collaborated with such internationally recognized and renowned conductors as Enrique Mazzola, Dmitry Jurowski, Daniel Barenboim, Sebastian Weigl, Mariss Jansons and many others.
In 2019, at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, Anna sang in the production of The Queen of Spades by Stefan Herheim and in Betrothal in a Monastery by S. Prokofiev.
