Ravina Tandon-Tandani is an Indian actress, TV presenter, producer and fashion model. Winner of the Filmfare Award for Best Debut and nominated for many of the prestigious Bollywood Film Awards.

The girl was born in the fall of 1974 in India. Her father is renowned actor and director Ravi Tandon. Ravina has a younger brother, Rajiv, who also chose the acting profession. He has starred in a number of Indian films under the name Raaj. The parents named the girl Ravina, combining their names: Ravi and Vina. Her name is translated as the Sun.

After graduating from college, Ravina worked in the advertising department of the agency GENESIS. Once the director of the agency invited her to try herself as a model. Rabina agreed. Soon she began to participate in her first photo shoots and star in commercials. Later she entered into an agreement with the modeling agency Shantanu Shoraya and worked in the modeling business for several years.
While working at the agency, Ravina began to receive invitations to shoot from famous directors. At first, she refused to work in the cinema, but in 1991, on the advice of family and friends, she nevertheless signed a contract with the film company to shoot in the film "Stone Flowers".
The plot of the film was rather traditional. The daughter of a gangster named Kiran falls in love with the son of a police officer, Suraj. The father, having learned about his daughter's love, decides to leave the world of crime, but his entourage does not want this and is going to separate the young people, to deal with Suraj's relatives. The young man has no choice but to start the fight against the mafia.
The film debut was very successful. Ravina instantly became a recognizable actress and received a worthy Indian Filmfare Award.
The film became a real hit. Fans started dressing like their favorite heroine, wearing the same hairstyles and jewelry. Replicas of the huge earrings in which the actress starred were sold in stores called Ravina's Rings.
From that moment on, Tandon's Bollywood career began to skyrocket.
Ravina starred in four more films with actor Salman Khan, who played along with her in the film "Stone Flowers". But her main partner in many films was the famous actor and producer Govinda.
