Biography

The future fighter was born in 1985, in the summer. The homeland of the famous athlete is Tehran, the main city of Iran. The Geghard family soon moved to South Holland, where the boy's adolescence and youth passed. According to Musashi himself, his native nationality is Armenian, even in spite of his place of birth.

From childhood, the child liked various martial arts. When the boy was 8 years old, he chose to become a judoka, but after seven years he moved to the boxing section. The first successes in sports began to appear in this direction: at the age of 16, the teenager managed to win a national championship.

Subsequently, the young man decided to end his boxing career in favor of sports diversity. Then he made attempts to engage in kickboxing, but found his vocation in the field of mixed martial arts.

Career in MMA

Upon reaching adulthood, Geghard made his debut on the professional MMA scene. For several years he wandered around various federations and took part in minor fights.

But at the age of 23, he had the opportunity to conclude a contract with one of the most famous organizations at that time. Musashi became a full member of the Pride Fighting Championships, a Japanese organization that existed from 1997 to 2007. Within this federation, he has won more than eight welterweight victories.

The next stage in Geghard's sports life was the Dream company, which was also Japanese. There he twice became the champion in his weight category, overcoming strong and titled rivals from various countries. Among them were: Denis Kang, Renatu Sobral.

In 2013, the fighter opted for the UFC - the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He spent more than five years under the tag of this organization. Unfortunately for Musashi, he was unable to win a single title and performed several times in relatively minor fights.

In 2017, the athlete chose to work with Bellator MMA. A year later, having defeated the Brazilian fighter Rafael Caravalho, he becomes the absolute champion within this organization. The promising mixed martial artist does not plan to give up his positions; in the near future he will have several fights under the Bellator tag.

Personal life

According to Geghard himself, his religious convictions do not allow him to be too open about his relationships. But occasionally, on his personal Instagram page, you can find joint photos with various girls. He leads an active social life and often gives interviews to various television programs.
