Evgeny Yevtushenko, world famous Russian poet, writer, playwright and film director. he is the author of over 130 books of poetry. His works have been translated into 72 languages of the world.
Biography
Yevgeny Alexandrovich Gangus (later he took the name of his mother Yevtushenko) spent his early years in the Irkutsk region in Siberia at a station called Zima. The father of the future poet, Alexander Gangnus, was a geologist, and his mother, Zinaida Yevtushenko, was an actress. The boy accompanied his father on geological expeditions to Kazakhstan, Altai and Siberia. Living in Zima, young Yevtushenko wrote his first poems and humorous songs - ditties.
After the end of the Great Patriotic War, Yevtushenko moved to Moscow. From 1951 to 1954 he studied at the Literary Institute. Gorky in Moscow, but he did not receive a diploma.
Creative heritage
He published his first poem in 1949 and his first book three years later. In 1952, he joined the Union of Soviet Writers, becoming the youngest member of the organization, after the publication of the first collection of poems, Scouts of the Future. Subsequently, the author himself appreciated the work as immature and youthful.
In the mid-50s, several books were published that gained immense popularity among readers:

In 1961, Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote one of his most famous works, Babi Yar, in which he denounced the Soviet distortion of the historical fact of the Nazi massacre of Kiev's Jewish population in September 1941, as well as the anti-Semitism still widespread in the Soviet Union. The poem became widespread in the underground samizdat press, and was later set to music by composer Dmitry Shostakovich. Despite its popularity, the official publication of the poem was delayed until 1984.
Yevtushenko became one of the most famous poets of the 1950s and 1960s in the Soviet Union. He was part of the generation of the "sixties", which included such writers and poets as Vasily Aksenov, Andrei Voznesensky, Bella Akhmadulina, Robert Rozhdestvensky; as well as artists Andrei Mironov, Alexander Zbruev, Natalia Fateeva and many others. Yevtushenko's performances on stage received great fame, he read his works superbly. later he released several audiobooks in his own performance.
In the 70s, Yevtushenko wrote the poems "Snow in Tokyo" and "Northern allowance". And in the 90s, the collections "The Last Try", "No Years", "My Emigration" and others were published. Several books were published in the 2000s, and in 2008 the poet presented the book All Yevtushenko. which includes all the works of the author.
Yevgeny Yevtushenko was also a remarkable prose writer. He is the author of the novellas "Pearl Harbor", "Ardabiola", the novels "Don't Die Before Death", "Berry Places". He has written several plays and scripts for many films.

Personal life
Evgeny Yevtushenko had 4 official marriages. The first wife is the poet Bella Akhmadulina (the family did not last long). Then Yevtushenko became the husband of Galina Sokol-Lukonina, with whom they have a son named Peter. Jen Butler, the third wife of Yevtushenko, who is Irish by nationality, gave two more sons to the poet. In a marriage with Maria Novikova, sons Eugene and Dmitry were born.
