Difficult childhood

According to some experts, the Ukrainian air has a beneficial effect on the vocal abilities of local residents. First of all, these observations are true for the natives of the Chernivtsi region. The now famous performer of pop songs Ivo Bobul was born on June 17, 1953 in an ordinary Ukrainian family. Parents lived in the remote village of Porubnoye. My father worked as a forester. The mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising children. In addition to Ivan, this is how the singer's name is written in the birth certificate; four more brothers and sisters grew up in the house.

The child grew up unpretentious and resourceful. Ivo from an early age knew the value of a pretty penny in the family budget. He did not refuse to wear the shoes that he got from his older sister. After the sudden death of his father, life became even poorer. Bobul had to spend a year in a boarding school. He did not begin to receive secondary education, and after the eighth grade he entered a vocational school. Within the walls of the school, Ivo became interested in amateur performances and learned to play the guitar decently. He could not even explain to his friends why the technique of playing the most democratic instrument was so easy for him.

The road to the profession

When the age approached, Bobul was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. Two years were not wasted for him. The future famous singer took an active part in various vocal and instrumental competitions. For successful performances, the command of the unit repeatedly announced gratitude to Private Bobul. Returning to civilian life, Ivo began to look for a suitable site for earning money. He was immediately invited to one of the fashionable restaurants. Outstanding vocal skills and textured appearance attracted the attention of specialists. In 1979 he was invited as a vocalist to the Chernivtsi Philharmonic.

All-Union fame came to the singer after the disc was released at the Melodiya recording studio. In all cities and towns, songs performed by Ivo Bobul “Starry Night”, “My Land”, “If You Love, Love” sounded. The singer's creativity was also appreciated at the official level. In 1995 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine". For almost ten years, the singer performed on stage with his wife, singer Lilia Sandulescu. The duo enjoyed immense popularity not only in their native land, but also abroad. However, in 2012, the spouses and partners broke up.

Recognition and privacy

In 2013, the singer was awarded the Order of Merit. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, Bobul ran for the People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. A career on the stage was successful, but Ivo did not get into the deputies.

The singer's personal life is often written in the yellow press. He has three children. The elders Ruslan and Lyudmila have already grown up and are living their own lives. Bobul is married for the fourth time. The husband and wife are raising their son Danil, who is now fourteen years old.
