Human civilization is impossible without constant transformation. However, all these transformations, with few exceptions, are directed outward. And to this day, a person is not much different from his primitive ancestor, who used the gifts of nature unrestrained and uncontrollably. Environmental initiatives, however benign towards violators, cause bewilderment at best and angry protests at worst.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a piece of paper and a pen. State what you personally could do to help preserve nature, point by point. Remember if you always cleaned up the trash on vacation, saved energy and water. Not because the cost of housing and communal services is steadily growing, but because it could help save natural reservoirs and the bowels of the planet.

Step 2

Think about it and honestly answer yourself: are you annoyed by environmental charity events, the work of Greenpeace, government bans on hunting, fishing, deforestation, etc. If so, find the reasons for the negative attitude towards such initiatives. It is possible that you do not like the cheap hype around events that are insignificant from your point of view. Or - you just can't imagine a vacation without a fishing rod or a hunting rifle. Determine which activities at the moment can be attributed only to PR actions, and which are really aimed at saving and increasing natural resources.

Step 3

Conduct your own research on the dynamics of natural disasters in the past few years, having read before this several serious and full-fledged sources on ecology, geology, geography, economics. Decide if these disasters could have been avoided and, if so, why. For example, calculate whether an earthquake could have occurred in an oil-producing area in connection with the activities of enterprises in this area.

Step 4

Do not judge strictly those who call to perceive nature as something separate from man, and those who believe that man completely belongs to her and should return to her bosom. People became people because they deliberately separated from nature, albeit physiologically, in other words, at the level of the unconscious, they are just a part of it. Nevertheless, human psychology has not changed at all over the millennia and, as before, all the pain and resentment of nature comes only from the consumerist, base attitude towards it.
