Plot description

In addition, he is a representative of a famous and powerful clan.

This lawyer defends the suspect in the murder of a man, but one day his path crosses with the official husband of the mistress, who is engaged in the same crime. From this moment on, for him and his beloved, a life begins, filled with scenes of jealousy, numerous intrigues, disagreements in families and, of course, betrayal. Will the main characters be able to leave the dark forest on a path lit by the sun, or will they be mired in hatred and suspicion? In the summer of 2012, ABC became interested in the script for the pilot episode of Betrayal, which bought this adaptation of the Dutch television series of the same name from David Zabel. Six months later, ABC began filming the first episode according to the acquired script, inviting the talented Patty Jenkins to replace the main director. Casting for the main series began in February 2013. The first actor to star in the pilot episode of Betrayal was Henry Thomas, who was later joined by James Cromwell.
James Cromwell, who played the head of a powerful family in the series, is an Oscar nominee.
The main female role in "Betrayal" was given to the young but very talented actress Hannah Ware. The second female character, the wife of a lawyer, was Wendy Moniz. In the spring, the series also acquired a central male character - the very lawyer Jack McAlister, whose role was brilliantly played by the popular actor Stuart Townsend.
After the release of the screens, "Betrayal" was slightly ahead of its main competitor, the soap opera "The West Side" in popularity. That changed when the show was shown in focus groups and took the lead among ABC pilots.
