Honored Artist of the Lithuanian SSR Lubomiras Laucevičius was a favorite artist of the audience throughout the Soviet Union. This charismatic actor created images of heroes, scoundrels, aristocrats. And in each role he was very organic and created a sense of the reality of what was happening on the screen.
Stanislavsky is credited with the famous "I do not believe!", But Laucevicius wanted to believe as soon as he appeared on the screen - he was so convincing.
Biography
Lubomiras Laucevicius was born in 1950 in Vilnius. As a boy, he was very fond of reading, and when he grew up, his main interest was poems and plays. He imagined in reality how it would look on stage or on the screen in a movie.
After school, Lubomiras became a student of the studio of the Panevezys Drama Theater, and then became an actor here. For seven years, he went on stage and embodied his childhood dream: he turned a paper script into an action that fascinated the audience.
The Panevezys Theater became a real school of professionalism for him. In an interview, Laucevicius said that if you did not play in the theater, you cannot be a good actor in cinema. He himself played in both modern and classical plays, such as Cyrano de Bergerac, The Merchant of Venice, Crime and Punishment.
Now the actor is a member of the troupe of the Kaunas Drama Theater.
Film career
The first experience on the set was successful for Lubomyras - he starred in two episodic roles in 1979 and played almost identical roles: the security chief and the police chief.
A year later, another film appeared in his portfolio - "The Horse Thief's Daughter", and a year later he appeared in the film that made him famous. This is the painting "The rich man, the poor man …" (1982). With the role of Axel Jordach in this series, the young actor's road to big cinema began.
It cannot be said that every year he played some significant role in a full-length film, but each of his works was noticeable.
For example, in 1990 he starred in the film "Sea Wolf" by Jack London. His hero outside is very tough, strong-willed and strong. And inside he is very lonely, and therefore he wants to reflect on the meaning of life, on its frailty.
Another film where Laucevicius played a significant role is the film "The Master and Margarita" (2005), where his partners were the stars of Russian cinema Oleg Basilashvili, Kirill Lavrov, Sergei Bezrukov, Anna Kovalchuk, Valentin Gaft and others.
At the beginning of the new century, when the Soviet Union was gone, Laucevicius continued to appear in Russian films. For example, in 2009 he played the role of the governor in the film "Taras Bulba". Later, serials and short films appeared in his filmography.
The best films in the portfolio of Lubomyras are the films "Come and See", "Stalingrad", "Mother", "Alien White and Pockmarked", "Wolf's Blood". The best serials, besides the named ones, are "The Multiplier of Sorrow".
