Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on 08.13.1899 in London. This famous director, screenwriter and producer created his masterpieces at home until 1939, and later began working in the United States. Hitchcock is the recipient of an honorary award from the American Film Institute. In addition, Queen Elizabeth II knighted him.
Alfred was born into a simple Catholic family, his father ran a grocery store. Until 1913, Hitchcock studied at the Jesuit College of St. Ignatius in London, and later entered the School of Navigation and Engineering, while attending lectures on art history at the University of London.
Alfred's film career began in 1920. True, then he worked only as an electrician in the studio. He was later hired into the advertising department as an artist, then as a credits designer, then as a screenwriter and assistant director. Hitchcock's wife was Alma Reville, who was engaged in film editing. Alfred's first directorial work was the 1922 film Always Tell Your Wife.
