The American X-Men franchise was launched in 2000. A fantastic plot told about mutant people endowed with superpowers and abilities. They confront people who consider them geeks and fight among themselves. Professor Charles Xavier helps them learn to manage their gift.
The franchise was based on the comics of the writer Fabian Niciese, embodied by the artist Rob Leafield.
Released films
From 2000 to 2006, a trilogy about mutant people was released. It was followed by 2 sequels and a third announced, as well as two prequels. The filming of two spin-off films was also announced. Together with the main storyline, a secondary storyline was developed - so it was decided to devote one of the films to Deadpool.
The character
Deadpool first appeared as a hand-drawn character, the hero of the comic "New Mutants", made by artist Rob Leaffield in 1991. According to the author of the comic book, Deadpool is the embodiment of the mercenary warrior Wade Wilson.
After the cancer patient Wilson was exposed to the Weapon X military program, he ceased to resemble an ordinary earthling and became a superhuman.
