Hardly at least one melody from the movie "Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!" remained unknown. And the song "Cars" is inextricably linked with the image of the main character. In the film, she sang for the actress Alla Pugacheva.
For the film, Mikhail Tariverdiev wrote works based on already existing poems. However, the song, which has become one of the favorites, is older than the film. In addition, it was thanks to her that the composer was invited by Ryazanov. And in the comedy "Wagons" were due to the "irony of fate."
The song that is remembered
Valentina Talyzina recalled that it was a surprise for her and Lia Akhedzhakova to hear about the need to sing in the frame, knowing neither the melody nor the words in advance. Therefore, both were false.
The sound engineer collected suitable fragments bit by bit, but it turned out well: it is immediately clear that this is an ordinary performance, "kitchen", live. Therefore, such a neighborhood of professional vocals and folk singing does not cause bewilderment. It was the film version that became my favorite.
Interestingly, the second verse is also missing from the film. Outside the picture, it is usually performed. Including sings it outside the film and Pugacheva herself. The complete recording was made in 1996.
The birth of a popular hit
For the first time the song was performed in the play "Friend of the Childhood" in 1962. However, different composers wrote music for the performances on the stage of "Sovremennik" and "Lenkom". One was Tariverdiev, the other was Gennady Gladkov. The melody of the first gained great popularity.
At first, Emil Braginsky wrote The Story of a Drunk Doctor as a play. In the form of a performance, she gained popularity. Only then did the production turn into a film. One of the most famous film songs also came from the theater. Even Vysotsky performed his version in 1966. As they say, it was Ryazanov who heard him. There is even a kind of legend about the beginning of his cooperation with Tariverdiev.
It so happened that both the composer and the director came to Pitsunda on vacation. Ryazanov told his wife about the new film and sang "Cars" as an example of film music. Eldar Alexandrovich gave up that he would have invited such a composer to work without fail, but folk music. Tariverdiev, who happened to be nearby at that moment, was surprised at such a turn and confessed to the authorship.
New readings of film classics
So the composition entered the New Year's comedy. A slight touch of melancholy was preserved, as if linking the lyricism of sadness with the comic of the situation as a whole. For this feature, the audience fell in love with the film masterpiece.
And in 1981 Tatiana Doronina performed it already in the film "Drops". The lyrics were different from the original, and the music was completely different. This is the third option, Igor Granov.
Throughout its existence, both soloists and ensembles have sung "cinematographic". The performances were remembered by both women and men. There are many arrangements, even rock style. As a result, the song that sounded as a performance by the teacher's trio really turned into a folk song. And this is universal recognition.
